Dr Henry and his assistant (Chelsea) were wonderful, Dr Henry answered all my questions and was very thorough. Recommend him 100 percent

Dr. Henry was super friendly and professional and his staff was helpful and knowable. I highly recommend Dr. Henry. I also liked the surgical center that Dr. Henry used.

What a terrible experience. He has the personality of a rock. Not personable at all. Sent my husband for 3 mri’s, 2 ultrasounds, and bloodwork. I called them to be sure they had all the results before making the trip to Frederick. Dr Henry answered and said yes we got them. No need to come for your appointment as there is nothing we can do for your husbands eye. After hanging up the phone I realized I didn’t ask him about my husbands Lyme disease test. Called back and he said I didn’t get that test back. I said can you call me when you do? He said his doctor can get that information for you. Makes me wonder what other test results he didn’t get back that maybe can give us an answer about my husbands eye.

I was given a heads up before making the appointment that Dr. Henry was “mean” and had a very rough bedside manner. I figured I could handle a less that warm bedside manner to avoid driving out to Baltimore, where another specialist was. I was wrong. It wasn’t just the lack of communication as to what was being done. I was given an order for two types of testing and sent in my way with no suggest of where to look to get them, one being a spinal tap, done. When given the order for the spinal tap I was hesitant to have it done but didn’t feel I could question Dr. Henry about it so after calling around and struggling to find where to get it done I opted to just start with the MRI. The day of the MRI came and I forgot my order for it. I take 100% responsibility for forgetting it. However, the extremely helpful woman checking me in for my appointment said she’d be happy to call Dr. Henry’s office and ask them to fax it over. When she called, Dr. Henry himself answered the phone and said no one was in the office and he couldn’t just write up another order and there was nothing he could do. Dr. Henry, the doctor who actually wrote the order, said he couldn’t do anything about it. The woman suggested the MRI tech may call him to verify the imaging and he wouldn’t have that either. I have canceled my follow up appointment and will happily be driving up to Baltimore. I will say, I found his nurse who administered my eye tests very friendly and welcoming and I didn’t find his front desk staff to be rude. That doesn’t make up for the doctor himself though.

Went to see Dr. Henry a few months ago. When I arrived there was no-one in reception and I had to wait for more than 30 minutes before anyone even showed up to let us know the office wasn’t empty; we even called the office number and nobody picked up as we sat in the waiting room. And then, after all that waiting, the staff was impatient and rude. Dr. Henry only saw me for about 10 minutes and then made a prescription without explaining anything about it (why he was prescribing it, what it would help with, what the side effects were, etc.) He was dismissive of my questions and seemed to just want me out of his office. A couple months after that I received a bill from his office. The bill was dated as overdue, although the statement was ironically sent after the due date. When I tried to pay I was then informed that I could only pay by either mailing a check or mailing my credit card information on a form. - And It's almost laughable because the envelope they sent me to mail my payment back is 1) not even pre-posted and 2) too small for the form they sent me. This is an absolutely archaic and inaccessible way of setting up medical payments in 2020 - and especially aggravating as it requires me to go out of my way to pay for a service that was so insufficient I had to schedule an appointment with a different doctor. Needless to say, I’m extremely underwhelmed with this practice in all respects. Would not recommend to anyone. *** A response to Dr. Henry's reply: Thank you for your creepy effort to try to discredit my feedback. But actually I am a real person who really went to your office and is really trying to pay a bill (picture attached as proof that there is a bill at my house.) This whole experience has been unnecessarily rude and inconvenient.

Not the greatest experience

Stiches popped our of both eye lids. Made me pay out of pocket instead of billing my insurance. Mind you my insurance covers the procedure thay was done. Still has not submitted it correctly for my insurance to cover it. Staff is super friendly him not so much

Dr. Henry and his staff were very friendly and professional. We were treated kindly and got the best possible care during our visit to their Frederick office. Dr. Henry listened and made sure that our questions were answered. He treated my daughter nicely and made us feel welcome in the office . I recommend this office 100 % to anyone seeking a highly skilled Neuro/ophthalmologist .

I lived in Frederick MD and I was very pleased with Dr. Henry and the care for my glaucoma. He explained clearly when I ask questions about the disease and what I could expect. I saw him for 7 years that I was in Frederick. I would rate him with 5 stars!
