I went to him years ago and i have asthma and copd. My resting heart rate was almost 200 he put me on treadmill after knowing i have breathing issues. After treadmill my hear rate was close to 300 he said I’m fine and left to get next patient. His nurse had me sit there for awhile until heart rate went down undef 200 which took a long time. She didn’t understand why he said i was fine and went to next patient. I felt like i was going to pass out. He is supposedly the best . Maybe he had bad day that day.
People still think you have leprosy or some debilitating, highly contagious disease even when you are 6 feet apart, with a mask half way down, talking on the phone. It's difficult because not many people understand what you're saying. I had my vaccine 4 months ago, did not get sick, still work and go about my daily routine without people being rude and obnoxious to me. How long did I spend on the phone?...less than half a second. Did not get the name of the nurse though. 333 million people here and 500,000 recoveries, or vice versa. More have recovered from this than me walking in and contaminating the rude nurse in the doctor's office. I will try and stay away from them after my final visit.
I have seen Dr Barakat for 35 years. He has been an awesome doctor and I recommend him for anyone.
I am not happy with his consultation. I received a bill of 1543$ paid partially by insurence but more than 300$ from my pocket.
When money is more important than a human! I was scheduled for surgery for some other reason than a heart but before the dr. Who is operating can perform that operation, and before the anesthesiologist can perform the anesthesiology, I had to be cleared by a cardiologist because I had a triple bypass. I called Dr. Kusay Barakat s office and made an appointment. The day of the appointment, I walked into the office, I filled all the forms. I gave the forms to the receptionist, then she asked me for my insurance card. I gave her my insurance. Ten minutes later, she comes back telling me they don’t take my insurance. I am at that point, after I confirmed the appointment a week earlier, I contacted the doctor and the anesthesiologist to inform them of my appointment with the cardiologist and to go ahead and schedule the operation. The receptionist told me, the Doctor, the office manager, and the billing will not accept my insurance, knowing that I was scheduled for surgery in less than two days. I offered to pay myself for the appointment and the clearance certificate, but they wouldn’t take payments because I have insurance, which they don’t take. They never once asked me what insurance I have when I made the appointment till the moment I arrived in the office. Is that a Drs office who swore an oath to humanity, or is that a dr who swore an oath to the mighty dollar and none for humankind. It saddens me to be writing these words about a doctor, as I have always looked at them as a godly people who cure our problems and help us in time of need, but every profession has that bad exception, and unfortunate for me, this dr was that one. Thank you.
My family has been going to Dr Barakat since 1981. He is always there for you and explain treatment. You never feel rushed in his office. God bless him and his staff
Excellent staff in the office and Dr B will listen and respond to your concerns
I have the utmost respect for Dr. Barakat. Have had numerous episodes of cardiac arrhythmia since 1983, which he has managed culminating in a successful ablation. He cares about his patients and closely follows up on any issues, makes well-founded recommendations, and assures that all procedures performed by outside facilities are interpreted correctly. In short, caring, thorough, expert.
Office is always friendly & welling to help you. Dr. Barakat is awesome. Always there when you need him. My family & I have been going to him since 1980 and won't change. God Bles
The best cardiologist and decent, honest, human!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
