Dr. Kane has treated my husbands for 3 1/2 years for Esophageal issues and another “complicated” issue which can be life threatening. He is an amazing surgeon and has saved my husbands life,. We are both so thankful. Dr. Kane is caring, he listens, and puts patient and family at ease when explaining procedures. He is all business at the hospital and you can really tell he is well respected in the medical community. Bedside visits, he was caring and wanted to make sure my husband was well taken care of. He is a great Doctor!

Dr. Kane has seen most of my family members for years. He has treated me extraordinarily after my liver transplant with many complicated procedures. He is very skilled and the best in his field.

I was very anxious going for a procedure. Dr. Kane's beside manner was great for a patient who anticipated a cancerous outcome. The comment of "no cancer" upon waking from my procedures dispelled any fearful anxiety as I had been experiencing.

My father, a very healthy 70 year old, saw Dr Kane for his colonoscopy. My Dad had a burning sensation in his stomach before leaving the facility and the staff sent him home. He almost died the day after. My Dad had a puncture in his intestine. I want to say first that my Dad was scheduled early in the morning for his colonoscopy along with other folks. Dr Kane arrived late. We believe my Dad's procedure was rushed. My Dad was rushed to the ER and laid in ICU and in wound care with an open gut for many months. He was intubated 3 different times. After 2 years of wound care, several ICU stays, hospital stays, rehab, fed by a PIC line/bag and several skin graphs to close his stomach, my Dad is doing good. He however will NEVER EVER be the same. He has to wear a belly band everyday to support his thin fragile skin that hold in his guts. He went from a 38 inch waist before procedure to a 56 inch waist. Dr Kane never checked on him after being notifed. Office extremely rude.

Office and nursing staff very rude. Heather had me crying before I even went back for my procedure. I can post an entire page of details but it shouldn't matter because anytime the front desk staff has you crying before you even see the doctor is poor management. I asked to see the doctor before my procedure and was told he was too busy. Yet there was "a rush" by the staff to get me in the back because he was in a "hurry" to get to the hospital. Very bad experience with staff other than anesthesiologist and discharge nurse. They saved the day. I manage a doctor's office in Frederick and have never treated anyone so badly regardless of the situation. AND I have never thrown my doctor under the bus or blamed him for a front desk staff issue.

Dr. Kane took the time to truly listen to me and answer all of my questions. He educated me using the diagrams in his office. He put my mind at ease and reassured me. He was eager to conclude that surgery was a my only mandatory option. He was also wise and humble enough to suggest that he would refer me to a specialist's specialist if necessary. The office was clean and uncluttered. Most paperwork is done online prior to the appointment. I only had to fill out one short form when I arrived. His staff is very friendly!

Dr. Kane was a major influence in having my Weight Loss surgery!

Dr. Kane did an excellent job of taking care of me. I had a Colonoscopy and did not feel a thing! I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Kane & Staff have been absolutely fabulous over the past year though a very difficult & complex medical issue. I highly recommend Dr. Kane & his staff for any of your GI needs.
