Meritus Physical Therapy - Frederick's Online Review Report Card

This was my first time seeing Dr.Baidoo I was able to get in and see her quickly. She was very welcoming and helpful.

The doctors here are excellent, but the staff is unprofessional and consistently rude. Communication with patients is poor, and follow-up is virtually nonexistent. My EMG appointment was canceled last minute by the clinic with no explanation. I rescheduled, and shortly after, Courtney called with Dr. Horton’s comments on my MRI results, referring me to their spine specialist. When I asked if my EMG and follow-up with Dr. Horton were still required, Courtney said she needed to confirm with him and placed me on hold. The line was then disconnected. When I called back, the staff member who answered was extremely rude and unwilling to help because I did not know the name of the person assisting me. I had to hang up and call the main office line, where the receptionist identified who I had spoken to and transferred me—only to voicemail. I left a message on Friday, 11/14. To make matters worse, when I scheduled the appointment with their spine specialist per Dr. Horton’s referral, I discovered two days later that they had actually scheduled me with someone else entirely. Since then, despite multiple calls, messages, and assurances from reception that the matter was escalated to the office manager, I have received no response. As of November 19th, I am still waiting for a simple answer. Although my experience with the doctor was positive, the staff’s behavior and lack of accountability have been unacceptable. No patient should have to chase down basic information or endure rude treatment. Their one job is to support patient care, and they fail to do so. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this clinic.

Meritus PT is great, I had a torn Achilles and to spend months here. Everyone was always supportive and the treatment was top notch. Across the board great service, would recommend it to anyone.

I recently received physical therapy at this location after total hip replacement surgery and I found everyone on staff to be friendly, supportive, and very professional. The PT staff are very good at building a comprehensive plan to help patients get back on their feet efficiently and effectively. I would recommend this office to anyone wanting to be treated by top tier medical professionals!

An incredible and very knowledgeable staff of therapist. They were extremely helpful in each of my sessions and offered various solutions to work exercises into my home environment. plan to recommend this therapy group to others and will return there if needed in the future. Five plus stars

I rarely give 5 star reviews, but my experience here was significantly better than other PT providers I've gone to. The reason is that the therapists do not divide their time between multiple clients or get you started on an exercise and then go do other work. They spend the entire session with you, coaching, correcting, and adjusting the exercise as needed. They actively encourage your input and questions, and personalize your treatment based on your abilities and goals. Near the end of my treatment, Thomas, the PT who worked with me the most, set up a plan for additional improvement and then maintenance for me follow at home based on my long term goals and the amount of time I felt I could reasonably hope to devote to it over the long run. I highly recommend this practice!

Carolyn is a life saver. I’m a full time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athlete so I’m constantly banged up and injured. Carolyn’s extensive knowledge is the silver bullet to my ailments every time. Most recently I injured my low back so badly I could barely walk or stand up. 15 minutes with Carolyn and I’m standing up straight and walking normally for the first time in a week. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I can't say enough good things about the wonderful care that I received from Carolyn. Her extensive knowledge, caring attitude and determination in ensuring that I understood my condition was evident and was remarkable. Carolyn exceeded all of my expectations and honestly is the best PT I've ever been to.

Super skilled physical therapists here. Carolyn took the time to learn about my needs as an aging athlete and identified muscle imbalances that were impacting my hip. They also helped me restore confidence in my ankle, which had been chronically unstable for over 35 years. Highly recommend—they are thorough, encouraging, and employ the most recent research-based practices to help with stability, mobility and to reduce pain.

Super team of therapists! I’ve worked with all three of them, and they are all great! The team is knowledgeable, helpful, and educational. The environment is clean, positive, and encouraging. Highly recommend.
