Great Doctor

I have been a patient of Dr. Levangie for 8 years and like a lot of other reviewers I have mixed feelings about this doctor/practice.I recently missed my yearly check up due to COVID and received letters from the office stating it was important to reschedule for my health.I contacted the office to reschedule and as always I am told Dr. Levangie is booked several weeks out and the earliest appointment would be April 8, that is over a month.I find not only do I have to wait over a month each time I schedule but also, there have been multiple times when they have cancelled my appointment; then when I reschedule they like to remind me I missed my last appointment, which then I have to remind them they cancelled the appointment.Years ago I went to another cardiologist in Frederick but the wait time was always over 1.5 hours before I would be seen. When I switched to Dr. Levangie I informed them of why I was making the change due to the wait times.My first appointment I was taken almost immediately, all appointments thereafter, I have waited for over an hour to be seen with no explanation from the staff for the wait time. When I questioned them about this,, their response is " the doctor spends a lot of time with his patients". I can appreciate this explanation but I think then the appointments should be scheduled accordingly.Lastly, Dr. Levangie seems to be a good doctor, however at each of my appointments instead of talking about me and my health, it is instead a social hour on his part. I end up having to inform him about how I have been feeling and my health and asking questions about my health. This is quite irritating for me, where I think it is good "bedside manner" to get to know your patients, I think it is more important to give them an update o their health.

I am a new patient, and was warned that this doctor likes to take his time with his patients and always runs late. (Note: "late" was at no point defined.) My appointment was at 3:15 p.m.; at 4:15pm, I was told that I was the next patient to be seen. At 4:50pm, I walked out in disgust, having STILL never seen the doctor. I understand a doctor running a few minutes late, and I was prepared to wait for 30 minutes on the understanding that I was told he "runs late". Running an HOUR AND A HALF late, however, is completely unacceptable and shows an absolute lack of respect for the patients you have scheduled!

The best in every category. Personable, intelligent, caring and never stops trying to help whether in his arena or not. His staff is just as attentive as well. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Levangie and his team in my life.

They charge $100 if you dont show up for your appointment. But ive been sitting in the waiting room 1 and a half hours and have not been seen yet. I even showed up 15 minutes early to do any paperwork.

Although I like this dr, he overbooked and is always late.  I find this sort of behavior disrespectful!  My time is important!

Dr. Levangie is clearly one of the most outstanding and technically competent specialty physicians I've been involved with. He ready "knows his stuff" and I'm fortunate to have been one of his patients for the past 10 or so years. I regard his recommendations and treatment plans as beyond question. He has great compassion and interest in his patients. I have recommended him to several perspective patients and they too have been similarly pleased.

Dr. Levangie got me approved for tests that another local cardiologist would not do, saving me a trip to John Hopskins for a useless test.

I found Dr. Levangie to personable and very professional. Ran stress and nuclear stress tests to be certain that I was OK. Glad to have him as my Cardiologist
