First: the office is OLD and run down with a basement feel with 80s wallpaper. Crabby older women at the front who clearly hate their jobs. According to my insurance and NUMEROUS calls to Blue Cross i am allowed 1 yrly colonoscopy with no deductible etc. Sure enough they send a bill. Call blue cross- they are not coding it as a consult for a colonoscopy but a new visit....BUT a new visit for what?? i have zero gastro issues. Round and round you go to no avail with this office. There are 10 different docs on Thomas Johnson- go there!!

Dr. Eiman Nabi is new to the practice. She is a wonderful doctor who listens and cares about all symptoms and prior care. She’s the best! Highly recommend Dr. Nabi!

Everyone was wonderful, very professional.

After seeing Dr Bhatia for several years, who has now retired from the practice, I chose to see Dr Kamal. She is friendly, patient, knowledgeable and caring. I am very happy and comfortable with her as my new GI doc.

They covered for another gi doc in Gaithersburg who almost let me bleed out. In intensive care for 24 hrs without a blood transfusion. Then 5yrs later my mother has them for a blockage in FMH. One night one of there other docs took over. She changed the orders. My mother died within 2hrs. From an overdose of morphine when intestines burst. The same doctor I had 5yrs earlier. We never got a bill in both cases.

My daughter has a G-tube and aged out of her Ped. Gastro and we were looking for a new one. We had trouble and ended up in ER so we needed to f/u with a Gastro Doc per hospital orders. I tried to make an appointment at any location with any Doc at their earliest leisure. The receptionist began asking me all manner of questions which is fine but the one that stuck was " Why does she need to see a Gastroenterologist?" I explained she has a G tube and the hospital told us to. She said" but what does she need to see a Gastro for" I said because of her trip to ER they want a follow up to check the G tube. She responded "yes but what does that have to do with a gastroenterologist??" I was dumbfounded. I said the G in G tube is Gastrostomy? A Gastroenterologist placed it. It's followed up on by as needed by a Gastro but she aged out of her pediatric Dr. She said she couldn't help me and I needed to go to her primary physician. Idiocracy at work. The Dr.s here may be fine but I couldn't get past the dopey receptionist and her advisor. Maybe they just don't like to serve disabled folks.

I met Dr. Yan in the Rockville location. He was highly recommended by my neighbors. Dr. Yan is a bilingual GI doc which is rarely to find in his specialty in Rockville Gaithersburg area. Dr. Yan was very gentle and also professional. He has excellent bedside manner. He was very patient to answer all my questions and explained to me the terminology both in English and Chinese. He always called me to review my lab results and explained in details. He also has outstanding bi-lingual care team. My calls or voice mails always are answered within 20 mins. His nurse Jenny W called me and explained to me in Chinese . The only issue for me is the OR is a bit far. I hope Dr. Yan and his team could have a nearer location soon.

From the person with whom I made my appointment to everyone who tended to me, my experience was the best I’ve had with any GI group. I had two procedures endoscopy and colonoscopy on same day. The checkin was easy and efficient. The prep nurse Samantha was gentle and empathetic and was able to painlessly insert the IV needle in one try. Amazing since others have said I’m a hard stick. Dr Passi my Anesthesiologist was attentive and listened to issues I’ve had in the past. He gave me exactly the right dose and I was alert and awake and able to understand my discharge information. My nurse Marian, during the procedure helped me relax and was very informative and caring. I was so fortunate to get to have Dr Hunt. He too listened as I explained past complications. The procedures went well and he was very detailed afterward to help me understand next steps. I am a cancer survivor and have had many many of these type tests in the past. This group get an A+ My past experiences get on average C- I highly recommend this group!!

My experience at FGA was top notch. The practice staff was responsive and welcoming before and during my visit. Dr. Ali Husain is an outstanding physician with a great bed side manner. He took time to listen to my symptoms and ensured I was understanding of the diagnosis and treatment plan throughout my visit . I highly recommend him and the FGA practice .

Dr. Yang and his office have been amazing to work with from beginning to end. Helpful front desk, prompt on timing, and Dr. Yang is thorough. He provided information and knowledge to my individualized circumstances along with empathy and understanding. Highly recommend.
