He is AMAZING! He saved my hand and his bedside manner is the best I've ever encountered.

I’ve had carpal tunnel problems for years and within the past year it got very severe. I saw an orthopedist who wanted to give me medication for a long term treatment which I was not fond of…. But because I knew what the issue generally was I decided to get a second opinion. That’s when I met Dr. Horton. He sent me for the nerve study test and it showed that my nerve in my left hand was not reactive which means it wasn’t working at all and my nerves in my right hand were barely working. I just had my surgery and I can already feel a difference. Thank you Dr. Horton I look forward to my right hand being done next.

I have, over years, had many medical doctors, medical procedures, some surgeries. I have worked in medical for many years. Dr. Horton is one the most pleasant, compassionate, caring physicians/surgrons I have ever seen. He explains everything carefully, spending the time to make sure you understand everything occurring. I came across him after I broke my wrist. As it was cured he listened to my issues with my hands which lead me too a almost pain free surgery for carpal tunnel. He honestly and carefully explained how carpal tunnel surgery was done, how quick of a recovery. Every word true! One arm done one to go. Thank you for your care! Dr. Horton.

Dr. Horton is very compassionate, explained in detail and answered my and my sons questions regrading his surgery. He is an excellent surgeon! I cannot thank him enough and his surgical team for fixing my sons broken bone.

Very easy to talk to. Explained everything so I could understand it. I hate injections but needed one and he walked me through it to keep me at ease (it wasn’t as bad as I anticipated). Gave me affordable treatment options and clearly cared more about me getting the care I needed instead of making an extra buck on a brace that wasn’t covered by insurance.

Dr Steven Horton was more than polite to my 95 year old mom. He treated her with total respect and fantastic "bedside manner". He saw her through a broken finger and did everything necessary not to make her uncomfortable with a cast. I have suggested him to management at Country Meadows since they often have folks staying who have broken bones. Also, I went out of my way to make sure my mom saw Dr Horton. There were other Doctors in the group who were closer to where my mom lives, but I had no desire to have her see anyone else.

I was scared to death to have carpal tunnel surgery! I’m thinking, my hands! They hurt so much, numbness kept me up most nights. I met Dr Horton to discuss fixing them. He ordered a nerve conduction study. All results indicated moderate damage. Dr Horton is one of those doctors that exudes confidence and reassurance at the same time. He said, “ Surgery? No big deal! 11 minutes, 2 stitches, bandaged and dry for 3 weeks.” I just smiled and thought even I can do this, because he told me I could! It was no big deal. After surgery, I got in the car, looked at my Mom and said it doesn’t hurt! It never did afterward. I actually started doing too much too fast. I scheduled the other hand as soon as the first one was out of bandages. Dr Horton has such a genuine bedside manner. He’s comical, and honest. I felt at ease very fast. I remember telling him I wished he was also an internist, my regular doctor. He kind of was my cheerleader. You got this!! I love Dr Horton. I don’t wish for any more surgeries but I miss him!! Good guy!!
