I am now 23 but I went to Dr.Koerner for most of my adolescent and teen years. Once he left the Hampton roads area, I was devastated. I truly which he was a primary care doc. Assuming he's still practicing, My kids will be seen by him and only him. He listens and provides care he believes is proper. Super helpful.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone I know. My son saw him during a sick visit (ear infection). During the visit, he was administered a hearing test, which he did not pass. He was 3 years old at the time. I recently learned that Dr. Koerner wrote in my son's medical file that due to this failed hearing test, he was diagnosing him with Expressive Language Disorder and Phonological Disorder. Keep in mind, a hearing test is not how you diagnose these disorders and no developmental assessments were ever conducted with my son. He wrote in his file that he recommended speech therapy. These diagnoses and recommendations were never shared with us as the parents. I also learned that he is no longer at his previous practice for several reasons. This is not a doctor I would trust having my child see again for any reason.

absolutely amazing pediatrician. he listens to all of the parents concerns and treats accordingly. He takes a very conservative approach to treatment. He is always chipper, refers for the necessary testing, etc. This practice is great with saturday hours, after hours calls, and they most of the time will meet you at the office on Sunday/after hours instead of you having to make an ER/Urgent care. Very kind and consider
