Urbana Dental Spa's Online Review Report Card

I had been going to Dr Lewert for almost 17 years. He is wonderful. I had trouble 1st time with one of his hygienists. I told her not to put the chair back too far because I get Vertigo for like 30 years. She was horrible. I wish I could remember her name. I had to make her raise my chair 5 times. She complained Well now you're making it harder to me to clean your teeth. I said would u w rather call 911 if I have an attack??? I don't know what Dentist to go to anymore who's as wonderful as him. I left last year without making a follow up appointment. I'm lost

I can’t say enough good things about this office. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease — zero judgment, just kindness and understanding. I shared my anxiety and past experiences, and they were incredibly patient, gentle, and compassionate every step of the way. I also experience vertigo, and it meant so much that both the dentist and his right-hand assistant could genuinely relate and truly got it. I felt heard, respected, and cared for — which is not something I’ve always felt at dental visits. It took a bit to get an appointment because it’s a small office, but it’s so clear why they’re in demand. Warm, laid-back, welcoming, and absolutely worth the wait. I feel very fortunate to have found them and can’t recommend them enough.

I have been a patient at Urbana Dental Spa for over 7 years, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I was most recently seen in July for a filling and updated X-rays, and I routinely schedule my cleanings every 6 months. I had an appointment scheduled for today, which I booked months ago, but when I arrived, I was told I was no longer in their system and that my appointment had been deleted back in May. For reference, I only cancelled a filling appointment in May due to a work conflict, and that appointment was rescheduled and completed in July without issue. Despite this, they claimed I have not been a patient since May. I received no notice whatsoever—no phone call, no email—that my appointment was cancelled or that I had been removed as a patient. As a busy mom who drove 35 minutes to this appointment, I find this lack of communication unacceptable. There was no explanation, no attempt to accommodate me despite their error, and not even an apology. After years of loyalty, this experience was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. Additionally, during my July visit, multiple teeth on both sides of my mouth were filled in a single appointment. This required numbing on both sides, which left me unable to speak safely and at risk of biting my tongue. The procedure lasted over three hours, and the numbing effects persisted for more than seven hours. In my opinion, performing such extensive work in one visit—without a proper follow-up—was unsafe and showed poor judgment. After years of trusting this practice, these experiences have made it clear I can no longer recommend Urbana Dental Spa.

I have been a patient of Urbana Dental Spa for many years. I wrote a raving review once before but wanted to praise them again. Everyone at Urbana Dental Spa is so kind and supportive and such constant professionals! I have a bit of anticipation anxiety and had to have a small filling at my gum line. I was nervous about it but the staff made me so comfortable and cared for. The dental assistant was thorough and compassionate. Dr. Lewart is an exceptional dentist, kind, professional and makes my visits so easy. I really appreciate how Dr. Lewart provides proactive dental care to keep me healthy and happy!! Thank you so much!

I loathe going to the dentist, but Dr. Lewert and his staff are truly INCREDIBLE! I actually enjoyed getting my teeth cleaned, which is the first I’ve been able to truthfully say that! 1,000% recommend them!! Thank you!

It is always a pleasure when visiting Urbana Dental Spa! Dr. Lewert and ALL of the hygienist are amazing. The reception specialist are amazing as well and make coming here a breeze! My daughter and I look forward to our visits.

I have been going to Urbana Dental Spa over the past 10 years with my Family. Every time Dr.Lewert and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. Dental cleaning services always excellent!!! Lately I had lots of questions regarding my teenage son implant and crown dental benefits and Julie at the front desk went above and beyond to find out the information for me!!! Thank you Julie!!! I would highly recommend this dental practice!
