Wing Tam's Online Review Report Card

I am in my 70's and have been seeing Dr. Tam for last 20+ years. When my previous PCP retired, I came to Dr. Tam with a list of maladies, the other PCP did not address in the three years that followed. I had had abdominal surgery which was the root cause of my health issues. Within 6 months, Dr. Tam had me feeling healthy again. I was 50 years old at the time, and felt like 90. Dr. Tam listened and took the time to figure out how to remedy the issues. In an effort to keep this entry short, I trust Dr. Tam's judgment. He is calm, attentive, and decisive. He is honest. Sometimes, you have to listen carefully, because his recommendations can be subtle. such as the direct correlation of losing weight and blood pressure. He told me what I needed to hear without insulting me. I heard it loud and clear. It was my choice: lose the weight or start senior meds.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tam‘s for 22 years now. I have a very complex situation with many diagnosis and he is very diligent about getting medical records, lab reports, radiology reports, and will contact the other specialists if need be. And in the 22 years , I’ve only had to see a different provider on 2 other providers to separate times. Thats incredible to me. He has such flexible hours and i’m in and out so quickly. They have a quick check-in process and checking out process and I totally appreciate that. They give me a printout of the visit summary every time I leave which is extremely helpful as I can relay that information to my other providers. I highly recommend him to any further patience.

I have been seeing Dr. Tam for 18 years now. I’ve only had to see a different provider in that office twice in the 18 years. He has such a great availability, excellent nursing staff, and very good front desk staff. I can be in and out of there in about a half over, give or take. He has told me I was his most complex patient. I agree. He always goes over every thing in such immensely detail and informs me of what I can do to try to stay healthy. He provides you with a detailed print out of your summer hat each visit which I find so helpful because I can show my other doctors his findings. It’s affiliated with Johns Hopkins hospital and that is extremely comforting to me. I highly recommend him and his practice.

Dr. Wing Tam is not only an excellent diagnostician, but cares about his patients. He takes the time to listen, and offers practical medical advice. I feel fortunate having such a fine primary care doctor.

Dr. Tam has been my primary physician since 2000 and he practiced in Hagerstown, MD back then. He relocated his practice closer to his Frederick residence some years back, and I commute and have maintained my trusty relationship with him all along. My assessment is based on our relationship for nearly 16 years!
