Straightforward and gentle at the same time.
excellent
Fantastic doctor! He is always very attentive to all of my health concerns and you can really tell he cares about his patients. He has a great sense of humor and always puts a smile on my face. The medical assistants, technicians, medical scribe, and office staff were very friendly and accomodating as well.
He is very funny and always tries to make you smile. He is always singing and trys to make things less alkward. I have been going to him for years and would recommend him.
Experience was great, check in was easy, seen the same day, looking forward to getting my health care needs taken care of by him.

Had TRUS guided prostate biopsy, Dr. told me that pain and recovery would be minimal. During procedure, after almost blacking out and vomiting on core seven, his statement was "that region of the prostate is difficult to numb"; after the procedure I stated "that was miserable" and his comment was "you should be happy that you had me". Very conceited, very unwilling to engage in bi-directional dialog; seemed to push his herbal products and I felt was too quick to recommend expensive procedures. After my last visit, while walking out of the office, my wife turned to me and stated "he is very cold, I hope that you are not going back to him". Dr. Langer seems to be a well educated and capable doctor, HOWEVER, when you are dealing with a potentially life threatening situation you will want someone who can communicate effectively and honestly. There are many choices out there for urology services, based on my experience(s) I would not recommend Dr. Langer or Cheasapeake Urology. Additional - The front office staff seems very nice, the sign in procedure is miserable, and the back office financial is miserable. Recommendation, DO NOT pre-pay for anything in advance of your procedures, force them process through insurance.
Went in for a vasectomy consultation. Seemed like I irritated the doctor by even being there. Very short and abrupt and thought he was funny when he made fun of my "gut". Needless to say that I will not be having this procedure by him and in fact got another doctor that actually seemed like they cared to do the procedure.
Garbage doctor! Waited over a week and a half for results and his expert opinion is "I have no recommendations". Has his nurse call so you can't even ask questions because she had no idea. Very arrogant and has no personality. Like talking to a wall. How are you able to work with a doctor like that. Seemed more interested in just brushing off my questions and telling me my primary doctor doesn't know what she's talking about. DO NOT waste your time with this useless so called doctor.
I am a young man who is suffering from a very confusing, uncomfortable problem unusual to someone my age of 33. I noticed during the very first doctors visit his rough treatment and bedside manor. I found myself in pain after unlike other examinations of the same type I have had. He was very quick to recommend unnecessary name brand prescriptions and even name brand herbal medicine that he was very clearly pushing/selling for a company (over twice the cost of the same exact stuff I could get at an organic market). For work medical leave purposes I needed to have paperwork faxed and his office tried to charge me $25 to send it. I contested the fee when they sent over incomplete information and they gave it back, but they had to send it to my place of work 4 times over a 4 month period to get it correct. Their billing department made arrangements for monthly payments then each month took double the originally agreed amount. I called them and told them to stop all auto payments and I would handle it myself after having the double payment reversed a few times. All in all, it was a very disappointing experience and I am still unwell, but I have a much better doctor who has treated me like a human being from day one. Live and learn.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
