I called the office to ask if they were accepting new patients. The receptionist said yes, and that the first available appointment with the doctor would be in March or April. A few minutes later, I called back to schedule that appointment, but she then said there were no appointments available and that I’d have to see the nurse instead—I wouldn’t be able to see the doctor. The doctor doesn't see new patience. So unprofessional, save your time and look for another doctor without calling them.

Front desk unprofessional. I called to make an appointment they answered the phone with an attitude to tell me they are going to break. She takes my information and says she will call me to schedule once they return from break but never did. At this point I'm finding somewhere else to go.

Finally, s/one listened! Dr. Thapar was the ONLY psychiatrist from the ENTIRE MedStar Montgomery Hospital that actually VISITED my mother, IN-PERSON, when she was admitted with A-Fib that was exacerbated by her ANXIETY!! We asked for an in-person assessment for 4 MONTHS, and 5 previous ADMISSIONS and he was the ONLY 1 that came to her room, asked for her to tell him about her worries, fears, etc. and ADJUSTED HER MEDS!!! Thank YOU, Dr. Thapar!!!
