I love them.

I'm new to the Maryland area. I tried getting a new patient appointment with JHCP. I couldn't find any available appointments online, so I called and waited for my turn to be helped. Their EARLIEST appointment for new patients was November! Keep in mind the date that I made this call was 23 May 2023! I get wanting to keep appointment slots available for existing patients, but good grief! What kind of message is a medical organization sending to newcomers when the SOONEST they will see someone is OVER FIVE MONTHS away?! That really is completely inexcusable. I'm on a few medications for chronic conditions. I'm from a completely different state, so my previous doctors CANNOT authorize refills for that long now that I'm in Maryland. Way to go JHCP! What a "perfect" way to welcome newcomers to the area...."Oh, you need help? Get in line, we're going to keep you waiting 5 to 6 months because that's our policy and because we can! It doesn't matter what treatments you need to continue in order to stay healthy. Good luck!" It's ridiculous that medical and dental practices are allowed to get away with this. They know they hold a monopoly - of sorts - and they're willing to put people through this with no real thought to the impacts that they have on people that they REFUSE to see in a timely manner. Because that's what this is. A *refusal* to render medical care. It's not emergency care at this time, but it can become an emergency issue because they won't allow new patients a reasonably timed appointment. But I'm willing to bet they have plenty of appointments available in the next few weeks for current patients and that they keep a few spaces open for same-day appointments. SHAME on you JHCP! You do know that "do no harm" includes not forcing people to put off routine care for undue lengths of time, right? Disgusting, and completely unworthy of the name "Johns Hopkins".

Susan Shultz shared private medical information without permission. She apologized to me in a voicemail and was forced to notify her superiors, and then the practice's law office sent me a letter trying to justify it. Just no. I have filed many complaints against them.

I used to love this practice. Ever since the pandemic they have been the WORST for kid appointments. They are only getting a 3 star because I LOVE Dr. Ababio. I am NEVER able to bring in my kid when he is sick. Even if it's just congestion. They also want to schedule a video visit for a sick kid (with symptoms that require an office visit), which they can tell NOTHING from but they get my money for the visit, send me for whatever testing, then schedule an office visit and charge me AGAIN. They want a covid test which they fail to inform has to be within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment but they wont let you schedule an appointment unless you have a covid test result. So if you go to urgent care and get a test and then a follow up is required, you have to retest your kid because I have yet to find they have same day appointments. I'm sorry but you treat kids it shouldn't be so hard to bring my sick kid in for an appointment. I feel like they fail at providing proper care for children. I will be switching providers. Absolutely ridiculous and they should be ashamed at the care they provide. I've had to take my kids to urgent care too many times because they turn my child away when care is needed. I miss the days when I could trust a doctor to help me take care of my kids.

Dr. Pat Dantzer is absolutely the BEST internist/PCP I have ever encountered (I am a registered nurse, so it’s been quite a few in my professional life). I moved 2 hours away, and still see him. He is a literal genius. He makes sure you understand your health completely. One of the best humans I have ever met. I’ll only stop seeing him if he moves out of state or something. Until then, I am a patient for life. I highly recommend him for your care; if you are in search of someone knowledgeable , caring, personable, and trustworthy. An encyclopedia he is. The best doctor ever.

Terrible Doctor. My wife came in to establish healthcare as we are first-time MD residents. Dr. Tang denied her of routine blood tests that we wanted for our own knowledge as we have with our previous doctors. We insisted to have it drawn and was still denied. As patients, we have the right to know what the results of our blood tests are as part of an annual check up covered under insurance, even if the doctor recommends otherwise. I can't think of a reason why an internist would deny a standard blood test at an annual check-up other than being absolutely lazy. Checking blood work every 5-10 years leaves opportunities to miss early detection for a variety of diseases that can be seen before actual symptoms occur, and Dr. Tang robbed my wife of that. Find yourself a doctor who will actually take their job seriously.

The staff was very professional. Wait time was less then 10 minutes. Office could use some renovations, a little out dated.

I've been a patient of Dr Christopher Ish at the Glen Burnie office for over a decade now. I am extremely pleased with the professionalism and care provided by Dr. Ish and his team. He listens and addresses all of your problems and concerns regardless of the time. Because of this his appointments run late in the afternoon so it's best to book early in the morning. I would much rather have a through visit where all issues are addressed, than other doctors who only want to address the main reason for you visit and then run you out based on a time slot. The only thing I dread about leaving Maryland when the day comes is not having healthcare provided by Dr Ish.

I know everyone's review will vary based on their issue and experience, but I have gone here for 2 years for basic care (annual physical, referrals, prescriptions, etc.) and am a huge fan. Lots of parking. Elevator/ stairs set up is annoyingly confusing. However, once in the office, it is nice and modern and clean. Once you have gone once (which I scheduled a few weeks out) to establish yourself as a patient, MAKE SURE you ask for a My Chart code so you can manage your medical record online, do secure messaging, prescriptions, appointments, etc online directly without having to call. I use Dr, Patrick Dantzer, and he responds to online messages within a matter of hours, is thorough and personable in annual exams, and is thoughtful about options when you have concerns. No issues here.

This is a doctor's office. When you go to one, yes, occasionally you'll have to wait past your appointment time due to unforeseen circumstance. In my case it was because they had a medical emergency in the back that I didn't know was going on. So, be patient, patient. You came because you're sick. You're not the only one. Try and understand what I learned that day; the world doesn't revolve around you. They'll get to you as soon as they can and will serve you with a standard of professionalism not found in many other places that's any better, and sometimes much worse.
