I had my first appointment with Dr. Weichel this week and was very impressed. He was receptive to all my questions and took the time to explain my condition in layman's terms. He also seemed very experienced and confident to address my issues which was very reassuring. Overall, it was a very favorable first appointment and I look forward to continuing to seek his guidance in addressing my medical needs.

I had to have a procedure that involved inserting a needle in my eye. This petrified me; but upon entry into the office, I felt comfortable. The front desk staff were so nice, courteous and helpful. One of the technicians, Darryl was very helpful in getting me to relax and even laugh before the procedure. The Doctor's assistant, right before the procedure was, too, very calming and helpful. Then, Dr. Weichel was great, explaining the pictures and procedures very clearly. I will recommend Dr. Weichel to anyone needing his services.

Todays visit took almost 2 hours wait time before husband was actually seen by Dr. Weichel. Whatever the problem, patient should be given the option of resceduling. At minimum patient should be informed Dr is running seriously behind. As spouse, I was waiting 2 hours in hot car in rooftop parking.

I look forward to my appointments with the Retina Group of Washington, whether for my mother, myself or whether in Greenbelt, Annapolis or Bowie. The Staff are kind, considerate, helpful and well organized. The offices are bright and clean. Dr Weichel is an excellent physician, top in his field with a wonderful bedside manner.
