I recently had a Lasik procedure done by Dr. Summerfield. I have wanted for years and was always too nervous. His calm demeanor and overall amazing bedside manner made it an incredible experience. I can tell you I have seen several eye doctors and doctors in general and he is probably the best I have ever visited. There is never a rushed feeling. I was able to easily schedule follow-ups and have always had amazing experiences at his WEI Office and the Lasik procedure. I have actually given his name to others to get their procedures done. If you want someone who will treat you like a family member and take amazing care of your eyes then look no further.

Dr. Summerfield is amazing! I got ICL done and it’s life changing!! I heard about him from my friend. My eye sight was terrible. I’ve had poor nearsighted vision and astigmatism throughout my life. By the time I saw Dr. Summerfield, I was at about -10 for my nearsighted vision and -4 to -5 for my astigmatism. Practically blind without glasses. I didn’t qualify for lasik or PRK due to such strong prescriptions. My friend (who also had poor vision and received ICL) was telling me how it was life changing for her, so I got really interested. I actually heard about ICL a few years ago. Just a few years ago, the lens did not have correction for astigmatism. I also didn’t know anyone who received ICL, so I was very hesitant. Few years later, two of my friends got ICL done and told me how amazing it is to see clearly. So, I decided it was time for me to throw away my super heavy glasses. It’s now been 4+ months post surgery and I couldn’t be happier. I can see clearly without glasses!! I do plan on getting a pair of glasses for night time driving because I still have a little bit of astigmatism left, which was expected prior to surgery. The lens for ICL only has up to a certain degree. Just leaving this for anyone out there who is contemplating about the less commonly heard ICL procedure in case you don’t qualify for Lasik or PRK and you really want to see clearly. Dr. Summerfield is an excellent doctor! Very knowledgeable and caring!! He removed my cataracts and fixed the stigmatizim in both eyes!! I just need to wear Readers! My eyesight is 100% improved!

Very accurate, kind and relatable.

Dr. Summerfield is a most impressive ophthalmologist. Most importantly, he saved the vision in my right eye. This eye had several serious problems. I was also being treated by a retina specialist. This specialist recommended I have a vitrectomy in the hospital. This is serious surgery. Unfortunately, my eye never regained vision. I was quite concerned. After testing, many appointments, and his expertise, Dr. Summerfield realized that the stitches in my eye had been sewn too tightly, causing my blurred vision. He proceeded to remove some of these stitches, one by one. This required precise and very careful removal of each stitch. He was so gentle and kind. Eventually, my eyesight returned! I was very relieved and happy with Dr. Summerfield. HE SAVED MY EYESIGHT! HE IS BRILLIANT!

I needed clarification about something in my examination and I needed to ask a few more questions so I asked to speak to the dr over the phone. Wasn’t able to find out whether or not he got my phone message so I canceled my surgery dates.

Great, I had cataracts removed from both eyes. After going back for my 30 day post surgery my eyes are 20/20 and no vision problems. Dr Summerfield is very friendly, takes the time to explain the procedure, answers questions and is very patient. His staff is very helpful answer all my questions and call back to see how I was doing the day after surgery as well as send emails and texts to remind me of my appointment. It took me a while to find an eye surgeon I could completely trust. I am happy I found Dr. Michael Summerfield. He was thorough, knowledgeable and listened well. I had two successful cataract surgeries which resulted in an unbelievable improvement of my quality of life. My distance vision is perfect and I could not be happier.
