I wish I could leave 2 different reviews bc some of the office staff have been horrible and I'd leave a 1 star...however the doctors have always been great. The dr my dad sees really seems to care about his patients and rectified a situation that his staff put my dad in. Never had a problem with the doctors but the staff is disrespectful.

I would definitely recommend Maryland pain and spine associates. Dr. Shalaby and his staff are wonderful. absolutely love Nikki and Dr Shalaby! I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else to manage my pain. He will sit with you and he will talk to you and he will make sure that you’re happy with your appointment before he walks out that door.

I have been to several pain docs over the years and have never meet a more incompetent Dr in my 30 years of being treated. Don't take my advice and you will be sorry! Don't waste your time. Dr. Shalaby is the WORST Dr. EVER!!!

I was shot and had a bullet bounce off my spine and splenter thruout my back which caused me to be disabled so due to that I have had to see many of doctors now for 20 years all around the country Dr.Shalaby is stern but fair I’ve been seeing him for over 5 years now he is very patient and listens to everything I have too say A lot of doctors just push you through like you’re a number not a person he’s straightforward and treat you as an adult that you are staff/office professional and clean

I am not at all comfortable with being forced to have an interventional procedure every single time I come in for a med refill. I told him I have another provider with whom I work to determine what procedures I need or want, and that provider has a charity care arrangement for co-pay as I only have Medicare. He insisted I have the procedures done by him, could not provide a price list, and did trigger point injections twice even though I told him I've had TP injects many times & they don't help

He's a good doctor, however he does not have any leaning towards life happens. He will not work with you as with meds or appointments, no second chances.

I was not impressed with Dr.Shalaby ,he said he doesn't prescribe the meds I take ,only morphine & he said he would write a script for me but if he would have bothered to look at my chart he would have seen that I can not take morphine - due to severe side effects ,,,it took almost 2 hrs to get there & I was in horrible pain & he shook a paperthat I had filled out at me & Accused me of using cocaine / heroine !!! Would Never recommend any one to him !!!!
