I saw Dr. Hamilton for the first time today. He was the nicest kindest man. He explained everything to me and put my fears at ease. This area is fortunate to have a psychiatrist of this caliber. He is very caring and is interested in what is needed in general and specifically. He is a good listener and never seems in a hurry. He is non-judgemental and respects his patients' right to question his decisions. His nurses are wonderful and caring. Too bad he made the decision to limit his practice to outpatient only, and has chosen not to do ECT anymore, forcing patients to go to other cities to have this treatment. He has improved the quality of life for thousands of patients in this town by accepting those who have limited income, thereby demonstrating Christ-like values to those who need help for problems they cannot control. He welcomes the opportunity, and asks permission of the patient, to explain in scientific detail the physiological process of medications that he suggests. He is humble and good-natured with stable moods and high quality care at all times.
