Went 7 1/2 months w/BM issues that built to going 2 1/2-3 days between BMs with all BMs becoming bouts of diarrhea. Scheduled for immediate non-elective genital surgery that couldn't be postponed. Had to have PCP intervene to get Dr. Wolff to perform endoscopy/colonoscopy procedures to diagnose condition. Actually have email from Dr. Wolff where he stated, despite impending surgery and high risk of infection due to ongoing bouts of diarrhea, that treatment of my condition was not urgent unless I became hospitalized and then treatment would become urgent. After endoscopy/colonoscopy were done he ordered a round of antibiotics which helped immediately. Within a short period I contracted "something that was going around" and the bouts of diarrhea returned. At that point Dr. Wolff refused treatment and another Kaiser Permanente gastroenterologist prescribed the same RX as Dr. Wolff had previously but at a higher dose to successfully treat the BM issue. Certainly not my idea of good care.
