List of Kaiser Joseph Robertson's Reviews
Dr. Robertson has been good for me and took care of a Kidney Stone that I had a few years ago. My problem is Chesapeake Urology administration. This week, I had an appointment with Dr. Robertson on a Wednesday and had confirm the appointment days earlier. I took time off work and the gas to get to Chesapeake just to be told that Dr. Robertson had a family emergency on Monday and has cancelled all appointments for the week. So, why did they not tell me before I made the effort to show up? The same thing happen last year with an appointment I had. So, 5 stars for Dr. Robertson but 1 star for Chesapeake Urology.
I wish I could give 0 stars, but google makes us select something. I’ve already called the patient advocate line for this physician listed on the other negative reviews, but have not received a call back. Dr Robertson was “on call” this last weekend and made an Improper judgement without making a full assessment of his patient. He didn’t make us feel heard or cared about. Worse than that, after operating on my father he didn’t actually come and speak to anyone, including the patient or family that he knew was waiting. This isn’t just a complaint about a “poor bedside” manner, but a bigger concern of poor judgement. I am shocked and appalled at the lack of care and concern shown by Dr Robertson. This included brushing my father off for coming to the Emergency Room, and claiming that he “wasn’t in enough pain”. I honestly don’t know what to tell people who get stuck with Dr Robertson on call, except good luck. I cannot imagine this man being compassionate.

Still dealing with the issues I came in with. The doctor told me my symptoms will go away on it’s on, even though I told him I was dealing with these issues off and on for a few months. He made me fill like he didn’t care about my condition. I had to ask to be examined. I missed several calls from the office and was left a message to return the call by someone named Taylor. After returning the call, she asked if I had blood work done, which I did, but no one ever followed up with my results. Yet was call over 10 times, but not about my results. Never was asked if I wanted to communicate through the portal, but was sent and email after calling in for a prescription. I prefer to talk via phone or in person. Prescription wasn’t filled on a Friday and now I have to wait till Monday to find out why.
He almost killed my Mother. If I had listened to him and not taken her to the emergency room she would be gone. I feel he has a God complex and does not listen to his patients. Beware!! do not go to him. Please do not take the chance with you or your loved ones lives. There are many other urologist's that you can choose. I would have given zero stars but was made to choose at least one.
Made me feel rushed and silly for asking questions. Did not make me feel confident in my previous care or the care currently being provided
Made me feel rushed and silly for asking questions. Did not give me confidence in the level of care I received before, during, and after.
Dr. Robertson is a urologist who treats his patients with respect and dignity. In my my experience, Dr. Robertson clearly pays attention to his patients' stated needs, listens carefully to patients' problem descriptions, then responds by offering specific, patient-centered treatment options. He clearly explains options proposed including pros and cons, and answers all patient questions thoroughly, resulting in the best scenario for informed patient decision-making.
The worst "professional" I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. My first visit, he appeared to not take my case seriously and rushed things along. Since then, my issue has returned and he won't allow the ER to do what I need done because he wants to see me, but everytime he's supposed to contact me, he doesn't. I've already taken off work for 2 days while this hack gives me the runaround and it's becoming intolerable. Refuses any kind of lateness for whatever reason, no matter how valid and out of my control it is, and expects me to wait weeks to see him while my problem persists and gets worse. Under no circumstances do I, or will I ever, recommend this man. Absolutely unacceptable.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
