John R Brown's Online Review Report Card

No offense to all of the fine physicians out there, but Dr. Brown is the best primary physician I've had in my entire adulthood. He's friendly, kind, and patient, and he does a good job of listening to my concerns and explaining the results of my diagnostics. He also did a great job referring me to specialists for follow-up. I'm so pleased with his service that I recommended him to our sons.

I think that Dr. Brown is an exceptional family doctor. He reminds me of the country doctors that used to make house calls when I was a child. He listens well, he's very personable and friendly, he explains diagnoses and options very clearly, he's respectful, and he always leaves enough time to chat and catch up on things. Plus, he does a great job replying back to my emails.

The doctors and nurse practitioners, especially Dr. Brown, are great. Dr. Brown rates 5 stars. The administrative staff, however, is sub-par. We've had problems with them off and on since shortly after we started using this practice: continuing problems with billing, procedures being mis-coded and then thrown out by insurance, responses from admin staff (especially Cindy and Jen) border on hostile, ...

Dr. Brown is an excellent physician. He is patient, takes his time to understand your issues, and then works with you to provide the best possible treatment plan for your situation. Highly recommend.

Dr. John Brown is a great doctor, but sucks at customer service. Dr. Brown submitted a bill to my insurance company for Chronic Care Management because my husband was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Most insurance companies do not cover Chronic Care Management. It's know as a code to pad the bill and make the doctor more money without more work. Most Insurance companies, cover Diabetes care. We asked Dr. Brown and the billing department at GBMC to rebill the insurance company for Diabetes care and remove the Chronic care code. Dr. John Brown's attitude was "it's just the insurance company trying to get out of paying, i'm not changing my codes, I did nothing wrong" So now GBMC is billing us for a $91.00 copay. All GBMC billing has to do t is change the codes in their computer systems, which would take 5 minutes. But billing will not make the change unless the doctor agrees and asks them to. Our insurance company even sent the a letter asking them to change the code and resubmit. If Dr. John Brown truly cared about his patients well being, he would recode the billing so the patient would not have to pay a co pay of $91.00. Dr. Brown only cares about his own pockets getting filling with our cash.
