I have been a patient at the Jefferson office for a little over 2 years and am so happy with the genuine and caring staff and my treatment. The doctor here has worked with me and literally improved my overall health in this time and I could not be more grateful. My doctor has even been flexible in my care at times when I didn’t or felt I couldn’t do some of the things within my treatment plan we continue to find ways to help improve my wellbeing and not al doctors are so great and flexible to work with. I also love their virtual visits. I plan to stick with this doctors office for a long, long, time! Google maps says your open, your phone lines ring like someone is in the office. Been trying to get through since 7:30 this morning after receiving a call yesterday about rescheduling an appointment. I totally understand being closed due to the weather, however a pre recorded message or someone actually answering the phone stating something about y'alls closure would save a lot of frustration for those who have appointments scheduled with your office. I have been a patient at the Jefferson office for a little over 2 years and am so happy with the genuine and caring staff and my treatment. It's been too long since I made an appt with a primary care doc for myself. I am constantly running around with my kids for their appointments. I arranged childcare for this appointment and took precious time away from work. My appt was scheduled for 1:30pm. It had been icy/rainy all morning so I took more time to get there than I hoped. I pulled into the parking lot at 1:34pm. It took me a minute to look up the phone number to call and let them know I arrived. I was on the phone for 3 minutes, first waiting, then answering COVID questions. When I got into the office, they gave me paperwork to fill out because I am a new patient. I started filling it out and then about 5 minutes in, the receptionist handed me a tablet and told me to check in and I could finish the other paperwork in the exam room. I did and shortly after was called back by the nurse. When she was taking my vitals in the room, she told me that if I hadn't been so late for my appointment, I could have seen the doctor right away, but now I had to wait because she decided to see another patient first. I was a little confused and told her I had arrived only four minutes after my scheduled appointment time. She said, "Didn't anyone tell you that you needed to arrive by 1:15pm?" "No," I replied, "I thought the appointment was at 1:30pm" She then started asking a laundry list of questions. All of the exact same questions that I had literally just spent time in the waiting room answering on paper. She didn't look at my papers hardly at all. I told her I had been expecting a very important call back about my kid's blood test results and if the call came in, I needed to answer it. She trailed off again about me being so late for my appointment. Then she left and I waited about 20 minutes. Then my phone rang. I answered. Two minutes into the phone call that I was waiting for, the doctor comes in. I tell her I'm finishing up a very important call from my kid's doctor. I hate being on the phone in places like grocery store lines, etc. I felt rude, but this was a matter of hearing about a really scary diagnosis for my baby. She replied, "No problem, I'll be back in a minute." Twenty-five minutes go by. I was on the phone for a total of three minutes. I went out and let the receptionist know I was still waiting on the doc. She said she'd let her know. More time goes by and it's now 2:45pm. An hour and fifteen minutes after my appt time. I go back to the receptionist and tell her I really need to leave by 3pm for childcare and work. I start crying, letting her know I didn't know being four minutes late for my appointment on a day with bad weather and answering a 3 minute phone call would mean I wouldn't get seen. I apologized for answering my phone and told her how important (and short) the phone call was. She looked at me and said, "Well, you were 30 minutes late to your appointment. Didn't anyone tell you that you're supposed to arrive early?" I go back into the exam room. The PA comes in and it's clear from my face I've been crying. She says that she's literally in the middle of seeing another patient. She said I could reschedule for another time in the morning since I need to get blood drawn anyway (news to me). I tell her that I was told by two people now how late I was when I had only arrived four minutes late and spent three minutes on the phone hearing if my kid has a life-threatening diagnosis. A total of SEVEN MINUTES over a period of 90 minutes of waiting. I apologized for taking the phone call and told her I need to leave by three. She sort of apologized, but qualified it by saying she only tried to be fair to the other patients by honoring who showed up first, even those who came before their appointment time. She said she might be able to see me in 20 minutes. So I said, "No thank you," and left in tears without seeing the doctor. I do not plan to return.

Dr. Ho was my primary for many years. I just loved her and the attention to my care. I'll admit, when she told me she was leaving the practice and moving away to care for family, I got a little anxious. Well, in steps Dr. July Cao! I was a little hesitant at first because after 20+ years with Dr. Ho, I just didn't know what to expect. It didn't take long for Dr. Cao to gain my complete trust! When she is in the room with me, I have her total attention. I know she is very busy, and appreciate that she takes good care of me. Also, I have had to contact through the portal and she was very quick in responding to me. I would recommend Dr. Cao to anyone looking for a doctor.

Had my toenail ripped off by a PA here a couple years back as a teenager when it was abscessed underneath. I do mean ripped- he tried to numb the site with syringe after syringe of local anesthetic for about an hour before, but was fairly unsuccessful in making me in any way unable to feel pain. He wasted no time letting me know that the only time he'd ever done the procedure was with the good ole boys overseas, I must be tough because I had a higher pain tolerance than some of them that passed out when he did it, etc. and took about another hour trying to muscle it off before giving up most of the way through and (laughably badly) trying to bandage it.I had to go get it fixed at a podiatrist directly after, who informed me it was totally botched and he never should have attempted to do it on his own (he was absolutely confident in telling me he could do it and it was fine). Go figure.I was also prescribed birth control here for acne at some point. I Googled it and "acne" and a simple chart popped up as the first result; the birth control I was on actually made acne worse. Needless to say, it didn't work very well.Go here at your own risk.
