Only saw him in the hospital , but I was impressed ! Wish I was seeing him now ,as I have a hard time even getting in touch with the Nurse Practitioner I have Zoom meetings with now !

Best I've ever had! Seen mental health professionals since H.S. I can honestly say that I had never come away impressed with my previous providers and in ~24 years, I never had a provider properly diagnose my underlying issues. I had only the symptoms treated every. single. time. Which subsequently lead to me having the same struggles my entire life. As my psychiatrist of 2+ years steered me directly into an almost mental breakdown by way of medications that I pleaded against long before I let him put me back on them, I had just about given up hope. I ended up in the ER, almost forced by my then doc. I was distraught because I'd never been committed; I've got four kids at home one of which is a baby; I hadn't slept more than 2 hours a night for weeks and my provider had continually upped my dosage of Lexapro and Buspar despite me positing constantly that it was causing issues. At the ER I was comforted, not committed, and referred to Dr. D. Never had a better doc in my life, ever!

Dr durrenberger is the best psychiAtrist i ever had. I have been treated by many doctors for 37 years. He takes his time with his patients to provide correct diagnosis.

I was recently a patient at Fairmont Regional Hospital due to an acute, and now ongoing, mental illness. This was my first stay at Fairmont and I was blessed to be treated by Dr. Stephen Durrenberger. My mental illness is newly diagnosed and a previous hospitalization offered no in-depth psychological care, the core of my illness. I felt so blessed to discover that Dr. Durrenberger had a kind, calm manner of speaking with his patients, rather than the feeling of being "talked down to." He takes his time while talking with his patients to discover the true causes of their distress. He truly listens to them, is observant, and cares for their overall well being. He is extremely intelligent, professional and knowledgeable regarding many disorders and the best medications to treat them. He also gives many day-to-day suggestions regarding ways to cope with mental illness, not just medications. I live two hours away from his office in Fairmont and will continue to make the trip to see him for as long as he is there.

Dr. Durrenberger is a self absorbed human being. He misrepresents the entire field of psychiatry. His entire purpose is to make his patients feel badly in order to keep them as patients.
