Medstar Health: Primary Care At Medstar St. Mary's Hospital's Online Review Report Card

The most incompetent organization! Dr. Johnson is outstanding and I adore her; however, like I was warned by another Doctor in the area, you are dealing with a Corporation instead of the Doctor. The Doctor has no control or say over what is happening out front. Not only do they not answer the phones, they don't listen to messages.

If I could give less than one star I would. I have been on hold for over an hour. The last three times I've called I never got to talk to anyone. This is ridiculous! I know when I'm in the office they do more talking to each other upfront than anything! They are choosing to not answer the phone. AWFUL customer service. I've never had an issue like this anywhere else and we are military! So I've been to a lot of places. This place is by far the worst!!!

It is impossible to get a hold of someone in this office. I have called this office trying to make an appointment multiple times. Even just minutes after opening. Every time the phone just rings and rings with the automated prompt “we’re experiencing high call volumes” then eventually the phone just kicks over to the voicemail. Which is never returned nor will you receive a call back. It is extremely frustrating, poor customer service and subpar to poor patient care. Please sort these issues out because my family absolutely loves this office and the providers; however, the current situation and lack of office staff is not cutting it.

Tried scheduling and rescheduling appointments due to my own error. Called numerous times. They dont answer the phones. Now it cost me my slot i had an appointment for that will take another 3 months to get into. If they actually answered the phones, this couldve been corrected in 5 minutes. Beyond frustrated and upset with this experience.

My 8 month old daughter had a course cough and congestion. The office would not allow her to come into the office for a appointment but instead requested a video call. Unacceptable for a baby at a 8 months old. I do not recommend this office and will no longer use this office for my daughter.

My doctor isn't bad. The front office of this place is so unorganized. It is taking over a week to get a referral sent after an urgent care visit. They told me it was sent over last week. So i waited over the weekend to call and check with the place that i needed the referral sent to. They said it hadnt veen sent. So i called the office, another 30 minute wait, they said it hadnt been sent. So who lied to me? I'm sitting at home in pain because they can't get their stuff together. This is unacceptable. It's like they don't even care about people's well being. Also, it always take 30+ minutes for someone to answer the phone. I'm starting to consider switching offices.

Been trying to get a simple telehealth appointment all day for my child and finally managed to schedule one for 2 tomorrow, just to have them call to cancel the appointment and throw random medication for an issue they haven't even seen in person or through video appointment. Ethical care is clearly not present here. I wish this had been the first issue with throwing medication at unchecked treatment options that we have had here.

Our whole family goes to this primary care group and mostly see Dr Johnson and Kathe Vachalek. We have been happy with our care there. Recently at my 3 year old’s well visit, I was struck by the respectful way that Dr Johnson and her nurse listened to my son’s thoughts and treated him during the visit. All of our visits have been positive experiences, so my children enjoy going to the doctors.

I LOVE Dr.Wilson, and this place used to be amazing! But I agree with the other most recent review. I can't EVER get through to a live person!!! Wth has happened??? I used to wait 15 mins max and be greeeted. Now, I will wait on hold for up to an hour and thirty minutes then try and leave a message. Most of the time the mailbox is full!!! Hire some new secretaries or something cause this is trash service. I love my doctor and my sons doctor, but I dont know if I can continue this much longer. Horrible customer service.

I was told my account was fully paid when leaving after my appointment. I then recieved a bill for 50% more. Customer service bullied my wife on the phone. I would reccomend leeches and blood letting before anyone affiliated with these doctors and nurses provide service. recieved another bill since this review. trash comapany
