I recently switched to this practice and have been super impressed with the whole office. Once I got scheduled for my new patient wellness exam, everything went smoothly and very efficiently. Mandy, the NP, was extremely friendly, listened to my concerns, and put me completely at ease (always important at a GYN!). I felt very "seen" and appreciated the personalized care. Also, I was in and out with a comprehensive exam in less than 45 minutes. Definitely glad to have switched over and appreciate the care!

Honestly the worst doctors office I’ve had the displeasure of having to visit. I won’t even blame the receptionists because a lot is obviously out of their control… although a few of them are rude, my main issue is with the doctors, NPs, CNMs, and whoever else they have employed there as medical professionals. This office has terrible communication amongst themselves, ZERO communication with patients, shady practices, and no explanation or transparency of their their policies. My automatic Rx refills were cancelled without anyone alerting me that I apparently needed to have an appointment in order to get the prescription refilled. So now I have to deal with the physical consequences of their lack of respect and refusal to communicate. Every visit I’ve been to has been rushed, impersonal, and makes me feel as if the providers didn’t even take the time to review my patient file and medical history. I shouldn’t have to give a full rundown of my medical history at every single visit (which is always with a different random doctor). It is their responsibility to read and use critical thinking skills to be informed before they walk into the room. Both SEPARATE doctors that delivered my two separate children have literally seen me in office not long after my deliveries and acted (?) as if they had never seen me before. Like introduced themselves and everything. How dehumanizing to have your entire v****a exposed to these people in the most scary, intimate, and vulnerable state and then have that person act as if they’ve never seen you before. It’s honestly kind of questionable that such people should be trusted with my medical health and safety. The providers are not genuine, not authentic, and don’t seem to care about anything but a check, rushing to the next patient, and clocking out for the day. Please I beg you to reconsider choosing this as your provider if you can help it. It’s worth it to drive to Prince Frederick or Waldorf for competent, compassionate, and attentive medical care.

I was a new patient and just had my 1st gynecology appointment at this office after deciding to switch since I was not happy with my previous gynecologist. I was extremely impressed with how put together the office was. I saw Eva Thompson and I was extremely blown away and impressed with her. She was extremely kind and took time to actually talk to me, answer my questions and talk me through everything she was doing. I didn’t feel rushed at the visit and she made me feel so comfortable and at ease at such a vulnerable appointment. Definitely recommend this place!

Been going here for my pregnancy appointments. Everyone has been so friendly in my visits here. Amy and Mandy are the best! They explain everything so well on what to expect and are there for any questions you need. Even when I am getting my blood drawn they make you laugh and forget you’re even getting blood taken. Would give more stars if I could.

Visited about 4 times for routine prenatal care since moving to the area. Each midwife or doctor I’ve encountered so far has been nice, patient and thorough. There is one midwife that I prefer over the others but they are all very nice and seem to care and take time to answer your questions. The front desk staff are all pleasant and helpful as well.

The nurse practitioner at this office, Eva, is amazing! Always very helpful in answering questions and keeping me in the loop with any plans and results. Highly recommend.

I have been going to this practice for about 11 years. I never had any problems until Medstar took over. The office itself used to be warm and inviting and now it looks like the inside of an emergency room. You have to leave a message with a voicemail in order to make certain types of appointments. It sometimes takes them hours to call you back and then they don't have any appointments available for several days. I'm going to begin looking for a new office.

Everyone works! People are busy. Despite this, you don’t feel like a number but a real person, as people take the time to be nice and polite. I feel welcomed and confident that I’m choosing the right prenatal care. All practitioners have introduced themselves, their qualifications and explained what they’re going to do, and what will happen in the future. It is a pleasant experience going in to this office.

The nurses take way too long to call back for major concerns. They never listen to what the patient says and show they do not care for first time mothers

This medical practice wasted my time, money and did absolutely nothing for me. I asked for a gynecologist and was booked with a midwife, without my consent or knowledge. I asked for a screening exam and they wrote the order for a diagnostic exam, which my insurance didn’t cover. I then asked them to fix the order, which they agreed at first. Three weeks went by and no one reached out to me. I had to call them 5 times to get my order changed and explain the situation over and over again to different staff members, which is extremely frustrating. Finally, they called me to let me know they would not change the order. So now, I can’t get the exam I need and I’m down $200 for a useless medical consultation. My medical concern remains unresolved. I left a message for the practice manager who never bothered to call me back. I also completed their online survey, stating all the issues that occurred, but zero response. This office is the worst medical practice I have ever come across. Stay away!
