Outstanding. He has replaced one shoulder and eventually will do my other one. Cannot say enough about how great he and his staff are. Outatanding.

Dr. Johnson listens to you and hears what you are saying. He answers questions thoroughly and is an excellent surgeon!

Not a good man. In fact, ego maniac is a good word for him After surgery I was worse then before I had the surgery. I went to him for a left rotator cuff tear. I had 2 surgeries before for the same thing. He immediately insinuated that the surgeons who did my surgeries were bad surgeons. Dr Johnston offered me an Orthospace ballon implant and partial rotator cuff repair. He never told me any risks of the surgery or that it was newly off the experimental line. After surgery, I noticed more pain then before. About 3 weeks after surgery I called his office and said there was tremendous pressure, heat and pain in my shoulder and pain on heat on the outside. I called his office and his PA ordered an antibiotic for me, which solved that problem. I also could feel the balloon being squishy the under my skin, but it was supposed to be between my clavicle and humorous. It popped about 4-5 weeks after surgery. He never offered any help in this area to investigate. My shoulder and arm pain increased and it became even more difficult to raise my arm Something was not right. I asked him for help and he said to try CBD. What a crock I finally convnced him to get another MRI and it showed tears were still present worse then before, with fluid and debris build up in my joint and other problems. This was not there pre surgery. I never went back and will go to another surgeon to fix his mess.

Dr. Johnston wants his patients to receive the right care for their injuries. During his office visits, he takes time to explain things thoroughly and answers any questions patients have. He is thoughtful and extremely knowledgeable. I definitely recommend Dr. Johnston!

Dr. Peter Johnston was very professional, nice and caring. Dr. Johnston immediately recognized I had been misdiagnosed and time was working against me and tried to schedule me for surgery the next day. His staff and physician assistants were also great and professional. Their attention to detail and follow up appointments making sure my healing and progress were doing well was excellent. The office was clean and efficient. And all of this during the height of COVID. Every person in his office were really nice and caring. I am a healthcare professional myself, so I speak with a different perspective. Dr. Johnston shared with me how much he loves his job and how he gets to help people.

Nothing short of outstanding. I had rotator cuff surgery in MD and drive from VaBch for follow up visits with Dr. J. He is that good !

I have been seeing Dr. Johnston for years for my shoulders . He has always been professional and personable which makes all the difference that you feel comfortable. He makes you feel that he is there for you and not in a rush to get to his next appointment. I would recommend him to everybody!!! You will live him.

I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Johnston and his staff. I felt welcomed and well taken care of from the moment I first walked in the door. It is obvious Dr. Johnston cares for each of his patients. He is caring and will always make you feel comfortable, does not make you feel rushed and listens to each question you may have. I have already highly recommended him to numerous people.

Could not have had a better surgeon to replace my right shoulder. I now have very little to no pain in that shoulder. Dr. Johnston and his staff are very concerned about all the issues you may have and work to take care of them.

I knew what I signed up for. Dr. Johnston was thorough in explaining my procedure and post-op recovery. I knew I'd have to be patient and do what he recommended in order to regain full motion. Rotator cuff repair (and general clean up of the joint) 7 months out, 85% range returned and continuing to work on it. Only pain comes post PT sessions, generally related to using the shoulder more and more, increasing the weight. Looking forward to being able to swim this summer.
