Per a conversation with the Medstar call center, I was told that xrays are done on a walk-in basis, only to find that my time was wasted on 18 October 2021. When I arrived at the Mitchellville, MD location to have an Xray done, I provided the receptionist with my doctor's order. Then, I was informed that my doctor is not in the Medstar network, and I would have to go to one of the radiology locations on the sheet that she provided. When I spoke to one of the technicians, for clarification, he told me that it would take 3-4 days to put my PCP DR in the system/release the X-rays and report.It's not clear to me why these events happened when 1) I'm currently in the Medstar system; 2) the orthopedic dr that I'm scheduled to see today is also in the Medstar system and could have had accessed my xrays & report during my visit; 3) I've had xrays done at Medstar Radiology in the past 6 months; and 4) why were xray services for a senior patient not provided, since insurance, nor a payment issue played a role in this situation.🤔 Your office policy should be be reviewed and passed to the call center to alleviate confusion and cause a patient to waste their valuable time.

It was a little wait past my appointment time to get into my procedure, but once I was called back the CT tech was friendly, very good at putting in an IV, and my study was finished quickly. Much better experience than I anticipated.

I had an MRI this afternoon at the Bel Air Campus and felt fully at ease upon meetingTechnologist Diana. She walked me through the entire process in a warm and friendly manner and with such compassion! I had no anxiety whatsoever. She was encouraging throughout the scan which continued to help me relax. I also must note, there has never been a time, since being a patient at Medstar, that has disappointed me. Everyone is so welcoming! In fact, let me also give a shout-out to receptionist Kiera! She greeted me with such a wonderful welcoming smile as I registered today. So yes, my experience today at Medstar Radiology Network was exceptional! Thank you Diana and Kiera!

This location is a DISASTER at every turn. The people at the front desk have zero interest in patient service. Just none. They loose records, have no interest in helping you find them, have not forwarded results to my doctor correctly in FOUR YEARS. I have never one time been seen at my appointment time, often being forgotten about until I make a fuss. Luckily, my referring doctor is in the complex, because TWICE I have had to walk away and go to the doctors office to bring different paperwork back. If you show up early, they ignore you until you demand to be seen at the appointment time. It's a MESS. We come here at a time when we need help and are concerned, and this office does nothing to ease anyones experience.

If you value your time and your health, do not go here. I waited over an hour to be seen, check in was a chaotic mess, staff did not know how to add another doctor to receive results, and in the end my results were still never sent to my doctors without me calling back and intervening myself. This place and its staff have no business handling people's health issues and I would not trust their system with any health matters.l

Would be nice if a live person would answer the phone prior to two minutes of useless automated gibberish -- and even better if you could schedule an appointment less than two months out. Nothing but good things to say about the physicians, thus far, but the phone/scheduling gauntlet is a nightmare. It's like trying to get in to see the friggin' Wizard of Oz!

Experience has been most positive. Dr. Wm. DuBoyce is attentive, takes his time with his patients, knowledgeable and through. Have also seen Dr. Porter (no longer there) and Dr. Rettig for orthopedic concerns. All have been helpful. Check-in and check-out staff at front desk are courteous. Would recommend. Lab work is available onsite. I would rate staff between a 3-5 based on their friendliness. It depends on who waits on you.... not always the same staff on duty. Also don't know if they are Medstar staff or actually Lab Corp.

I had a very serious issue I needed to be seen for after giving birth. They refused to give me a virtual visit then refused to see me in person because I couldn't find a sitter for the baby. When I stated it wasn't an option they just said oh well that's my problem and still refused to give me a virtual visit.

Not bad for my first visit. The check-in could've been a little more expedient given it was 8am and there was a line. There were three reps at check-in, but only one was checking in! The nurse and doctor were courteous and attentive, LabCorp was also. I will definitely continue coming here.
