I had a very good experience thanks to all the wonderful doctors and nurses I remain gracefully

My family member was brought to the ER by ambulance two weeks ago. My family members' nurse was rude and very unprofessional as she communicated to her patient, took it upon herself to change the patient's IV medication to pill form without orders from the doctor. The nurse told the patient that she would do that for her mother or father. That nurse was removed by the charge nurse from future care during the patients' stay. My family who had emergency lower abdominal surgery sat in feces for two hours before a tech or nurse responded. The patient asked the tech to change her, and the tech said she doesn't do that, it was the nurses responsibility. The tech, NOT the nurse, was rude and disrespectful in front of the patient to the nurse. She wasn't a team player with the nurse and hospital to decide who would tend to the patient's needs. That tech was also removed from the patient, never to return to her room. Today, I called the nurses staton, identified myself, identified the patient, I asked for the name and phone number of the nurse taking care of my family member. The person who answered the phone did not properly identify herself upon answering the phone. She said, "The name of the nurse is ________, and the nurses don't have phone numbers." I said, "Really!" The nurse replied, "Yes, really." I then asked, "Could I speak with the nurse?" And the person said in an unfriendly ubrupt manner, "I am the nurse." She did not have proper telephone etiquette, did not have a smile in her voice and was not helpful. She referred me to back to the patient and ended the call. Based on several negative experiences at this hospital, I will not recommend that hospital to anyone.

Waiting more than 3 hours for just an X-ray to be released to me!! Vending machine is out of order, this place is a mess

Terrible experience, I don’t mind waiting for 7 hours but the lack of professionalism and the fact that the doctor “himself “ didn’t even take 5 minutes to come talk to me or talk to me about my results or the next steps that I should take is really disappointing. Could never go back there again.

This is the worst hospital experience I've ever had. Extremely impersonal, ineffective processes. Never again will I bring a family member to Montgomery General Hospital. Been waiting hours for a CAT scan for a teen with a know blocked artery....unacceptable.

I recently had the need of having Outpatient Procedure services at MedStar Montgomery Olney and was VERY PLEASED with the facility and services I received. The hospital is VERY clean, the staff are wonderful and caring and the Outpatient Nurses and staff are caring and compassionate, above and beyond. 5 stars ! and Thank you !

I am still angry at the lack of attention and physical care of my mother- who was hospitalized at Olney location in late 2020! I filed a complaint with the head nurse and medical team for leaving my mother (trach/feeding tube) with a soiled diaper that had large urine stains and feces escaping her diaper - all the way past her navel!!! It took a long time to clean her up and replacing her bedsheets. I was horrified and saddened by the laziness and lack of basic care! I was my mother’s (84 years old) caretaker for 30 years and I never left her in any kind of situation like that which would cause bed sores! Also the doctors don’t want to talk with you about improving her health condition. They are only interested in getting her out and getting 2 more patients to replace her! I feel sorry for those who have no to represent the elderly in this community - unless you are wealthy.

I was APPALLED at my treatment at this facility. I recently underwent an abdominal surgery. When I was admitted post op, NOT ONE NURSE ASSESSED MY ABDOMEN OR INCISIONS. I unfortunately had to use this facility due to my insurance, but I will NEVER admit myself or recommend any family or friends go here.

The doctors and nurses are very caring and professionals.

My mom was taken by ambulance there last night. The only good employee was the greeter. The nursing staff was Horrible and lazy. The nurses at the nurses station never got up in four hours. They had one nurse that was trying to do everything. The doctor never came back to discuss her results. Our mom laid in soaking wet urinated on clothes for 3 hrs. One lady, I suppose was the charge nurse was rude and refused to acknowledge my sister. I have never experienced an Emergency Room that was so unprofessional and uncaring. My suggestion is if the staff is burned out, switch careers. Don't make patients pay. My mother is 85 yrs old, I would never let her go there without a guardian or one of her children.
