List of Medstar Health Cardiology Associates At Olney's Reviews
Dr. Shnider, Ashley, and Ally are an awesome team. They are professional, caring, prompt and kind. They offer sound advice and truly care about their patients. I have been seeing this team for years and appreciate all they do.
I went to Montgomery General with chest pains. They lost my blood work that would have substantiated I had a heart attack. I got assigned this practice, the cardiologist at which said no heart attack and sent me home. I went back to hospital and called the doctor on call who read first doc's notes and yelled at me. Yelled. What can the hospital do today that it didn't do before? Turns out, properly diagnose a heart attack. Because of the first cardiologist's ineptitude the ER doc kept pushing heartburn meds and complained they had to run tests again. Thank God. I would be dead now.
Dr. Jean has been great to work with. Straightforward, commonsensical, gives facts when facts are what's wanted. BUT the office! AGAIN today I called during normal business hours and got a recorded message saying to "call back in an hour or two" on a line that does not accept a message or offer a forwarding choice except to call a third number. If they are off to lunch, why not say so and say when they'll be back? Front office staff tend to be untidy, unfriendly, rude, and seem to spend a lot of time gossiping without masks fitted properly. When I ask them a question, it always seems to come with a shrug, as though I'm supposed to know the answer - if I did, I wouldn't need them. Really, Medstar has this problem at several of its offices. Hire better.
I had an appointment at 11 AM, it was 25 minutes after my appointment time when I asked the front desk how much longer it would. The front desk responded “oh I didn’t know they hadn’t called you back yet, let me email them and see what’s going on.” I was called back after another 20 minutes which was 45 minutes after my original appointment time. The person that called me back didn’t apologize or anything it was as if she was unaware I had been there for 45 minutes. I was at the office for a simple procedure that took 5 minutes and waited 45 minutes.
Dr Snyder and iris are the best. If you need to make an appointment good luck with that. I have now been on hold for 37 minutes. I was told there was two people in front of me.
Dr Gould has been my cardiologist for years. I am very satisfied with him. He is thorough and knowledgeable and always pays close attention to me during my appointment. The staff is friendly and efficient. The only negative of the practice is the difficulty in getting an appointment. The telephone staff has been very difficult to work with over the years. They are very different from my in-person experience.
Very good doctors went to to Prior cardiologist that did not find the problem that MedStar Cardiology found.
Both times I came to this location Amy the front desk receptionist never greets with a smile and seems to always have a poor attitude. Seems as if she does not want to work either here or may not need to be in a customer facing industry. Oluseyi Princewill is wonderful but that’s discounted by poor front office behaviors. Joanne the manager does not hold her team accountable and when someone is expressing their frustration with her terrible staff employee service behaviors she doesn’t listen and asks to speak. Definitely going to a different location and will not be back unless something changes. I’m sure they will probably read this and hope so. Change your attitude young lady. I’m going to be escalating this complaint beyond Joanne. Have a good day.
Dr. Princewill was very thorough, calm, and listened carefully to everything I had to say.
Good staff, low waiting time and all the staff members are extremely professional. I'd recommend this to other people if I could, location is just a bit far.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
