List of Medstar Health Urgent Care At Olney's Reviews
The PA JESSICA was great she not only attended to me but contacted a Dr's office and set up tests for me. She is fantastic!
Very friendly, helpful & efficient, as well as competent!
The doc saw me within 15 minutes of my appointment, which is a great experience considering usually end up waiting a half hour to 45 minutes. The overall experience was great. I was out of there within an hour of my appointment that’s a first.
Care was good. Wait was long
Making an appointment did not seem to make a difference. Several people walked in after me without appointments and were seen first. My prescription was called into the wrong pharmacy, I requested they call it into the correct CVS. When I arrived they did not have the prescription it was at the CVS across town (both CVS's were closing). I called Medstar and requested they now call the prescription into the Olney CVS knowing it would be open. I was put on hold and told the RX had been called into the Olney location. Upon arriving at the Olney location only to find out the RX was not called in. The pharmacist was able to pull the RX from the Ashton location.
I did not have a positive experience at all! I was seen by a NP whose skills seemed to be very subpar. The assessment and treatment was in reverse. Without going into my HIPPA she advised I should go to the ER and I said I don’t think it is necessary. She then returned with paperwork that I was l leaving AMA and refusing transport by ambulance.I told her I’m not signing that ,no one said anything about an ambulance. I told her I called Suburban Hospital and I was going there. She left the room saying oh I have to change the wording on the paperwork. First and last time today. I would not recommend especially the wait time considering how much staff there was laughing and carrying on. Not much care and very little clue….
Detail to the point if anything is the illness!
On 03/01/2023, I was experiencing a severe eye problem of unknown origin and my Ophthalmologist was not available to assist locally for days. I made an appointment in the morning for 3:40PM & was placed in a treatment room by about 4PM. PA Samantha KARLIN first examined me by 4:15PM & provided the potential limitations of treatment options depending on her findings because more serious issues were to be referred to the Hospital ED. PA KARLIN located a sty in my eye that had a protruding hair- likely from my haircut days before. The hair stuck into my inside eyelid & caused the sty. She removed the hair, prescribed an antibiotic ointment & electronically sent it to the Olney Giant RX. All is well now with continuing ointment & a follow-up with my Ophthalmologist. PA KARLIN was honest, friendly, gentle, and reassuring during my treatment which is greatly appreciated In this day and age. THANX SAMANTHA!!!!
They took very good care of me. I didn’t realize it but I was really sick. They diagnosed a cough that I had for a week and it turned out to be pneumonia! Had no idea. Awesome team and I was in and out. Thank you all.
I’m very pleased with the professional and knowledgeable doctor care I received today. This location was very fast seeing me as walk in. The facility was very clean. I will continue to use this location for my urgent needs

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
