List of Medstar Health Womens Health At Medstar Montgomery Medical Center's Reviews
I have had a wonderful experience with MedStar at this office throughout my pregnancy. They are almost always on time or within 5 minutes of appt times and each physician and NP I have seen has been great. Would recommend to anyone for both GYN and OB.
Dr. Sunday is a very understanding doctor who listened to my every concern. I never felt rushed during my appointments and I appreciate her gentle bedside manner. She was also awesome during my delivery and kept me calm throughout the process. I would recommend her a thousand times; my sister and niece even used her to deliver their babies!
Loved Dr. Sunday, she is kind and sweet. But mamas beware, this OBGYN office management is terrible. They are extremely hard to get a hold of, they have a CaLL CENTER answer your calls, and that leaves you on hold anywhere from 10 minutes to forever. I am in my late second trimester and am leaving this office because I can’t deal with not being able to reach my doctors office over the phone for questions, scheduling etc. i also brought up my concerns to management and they said there is no way they can fix the model. And the cherry on top of this is the staff called me before every appointment asking me to come in earlier for various reasons. Your time and commitments don’t matter to the staff in the office. Also; I came in hypoglycemic one day for a glucose test and the front desk staff didn’t help me when I asked to take the solution as I had been waiting almost 30 minutes , instead she shook her head at me multiple times. Very rude. Done with this office.
I’ve never had any issues with the staff and felt really comfortable with all the doctors there. I have always felt listened to and had all my concerns addressed, even during a very rocky delivery.
The office has changed so much. I have been a patient at the Gaithersburg location for many years now. In the beginning I had no issues with them. The the staff was nice, the phones would get answered in a timely manner, I would be able to get an appointment within a week. Now....it’s the complete opposite. The phones rarely ever get answered and appointments are extremely far out.
If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT QUALITY CARE! The staff is unresponsive and does not provide a sense of care for their patients. I have been attempting for a WEEK to get in contact with someone because I was sent the wrong prescription (that is critical to my health) and have been on hold for days. No one will pick up the phone or get in contact with me. Regardless of this event, every time I go here I am rushed by staff and given incorrect information on multiple occasions. Save your time and go somewhere else.
I recently visited the Silver Spring location and had the pleasure of seeing Alenxandria Assad the nurse practitioner and the experience was beyond great. She was nice, patient and answered all my questions. Very knowledgeable. I was greeted by her assistant Felicia who provided immaculate service, responsive, responsible and respectful to my needs. This is a first for me because I’ve had some really horrible experiences at previous doctor offices, but these two have shown me professionalism can still be found in doctor offices. I look forward to seeing them both again and will definitely refer Alexandria to my friends and anyone else who is need.
It took weeks to get a first appointment in the Silver Spring office scheduled because no one at that branch answers the phone. Once I was in the office for my first in person appointment, the person at the desk gave a woman a hard time for having her husband in the waiting room because their COVID policy is only patients can enter the office. The husband explained he helps his wife translate to English. The staff relented and let the husband wait in the hallway. Not 10 minutes later, a man entered the office carrying flowers. The woman at the desk, seeming to recognize him, called for the blonde nurse who would later go over the pregnancy info packet with me. The nurse, who also appeared to recognize the man, accepted the flowers and invited him to follow her to the back of the office. So their COVID safety guidelines about no guests apply to patients but not to staff? That seems like a bad judgment call to me. On top of that, it is difficult to get answers about lab results. I leave voicemails, receive voicemails in response, and have to leave messages to ask clarifying questions. When I am given an answer that conflicts with what is written in the literature the doctor gave me to review - like what the tests I have taken are looking at - the medical assistants will not talk to someone to get the right answer or pass me along to someone else who can decipher whether the MA has said or what the doctor has said, and provided documentation to back up, is correct. The nurse practitioner assigned to do my virtual visits pressured me to cancel appointments because her schedule is so busy. I was told repeatedly I could hold my questions to ask the doctor in my next in-person appointment and call if there is an emergency. Why does a nurse get to decide the doctor’s care plan and schedule for me is incorrect without, by her own admission, confirming why the doctor wanted to see me more frequently in the first place? Overall I see a pattern of behavior where patient care is not prioritized over staff convenience. Update: I did talk to the staff as they offered. I was told my COVID protocol concern is difficult to corroborate as no employee who worked the day of my first in-person appointment recalls a man entering the office with flowers. So now I am worried about getting treatment from someone who potentially flouts the rules and then lies to cover themselves. I was also told my concern about an MA repeatedly giving me incorrect information about my labs is valid, and also that her confusion is understandable as (loosely quoting) even the MFMs have trouble keeping up with the changes in labs that are taught in the in-service training days. I feel even worse about the quality of care here since the conversation. Update 2: I called the office to follow up on the results of genetic tests the office prescribed for my husband via a requisition form we picked up from the Silver Spring office. In response to my question, I received a passive aggressive email about how the staff had to go out of their way to get the results because my husband is not their patient. I thought requisition forms told the lab what tests to run as well as where to send the results. Two OB nurses at other practices confirmed this. I’m unclear whether the office and Labcorps have a different working relationship from other offices or whether I was given more bad information.
I always have an exceptional visit here but todays appointment was amazing. I come here for Dr. Sunday who has always been wonderful kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. I never have any questions unanswered. Ashley was the one I was with from start to finish today to prepare me for Dr. Sunday. She was absolutely amazing, very personable, knowledgeable, helpful and really created a light which is much needed this year. She was super easy to talk to and made my visit my best one yet. She even drew my blood for the genetic testing and usually it’s tricky but she made it painless and quick. I hope she’s always around when I come in. Thank you Ashley and Dr. Sunday for being so passionate for what you do!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
