I cannot remotely recommend this person who says he is a doctor. He told me during my 5 minute consultation that he would have his "Scheduling Department" call to set up an outpatient surgery. That was 3 weeks ago. I have called in 4 times to talk to his scheduler Patrice with no response. And his 5 minute consultation charged my insurance company $400.

Dr Tweedt has performed 2 surgeries on me. He is an outstanding surgeon.

Dr. Tweedt with Medstar Health won't respond to my contact email. There is not way to contact the office staff directly and if you call the office line the only option is to schedule and appointment. Zero only loops around to beginning of message again. Dr. Tweedt either can't get his messages or prefers not to answer them. In any case, I need help and can't get it from this doctor.

I was able to schedule an appointment and be seen within 2 weeks, and had surgery scheduled and done with minimal delay. He did a great job and the scar has healed up so well it's hard to find. I found him very professional, very capable and had no complications. I had a very positive experience.

Dr. does not focus on patients and their needs. My husband had robotic surgery done by Dr. Tweedt a year ago on right side. During consult, it was made clear he had hernia on right and on left side . We went in informed that the procedure will be a bilateral repair. The so called "Robotic Surgery" was made a big deal. Only right side was done by Dr. Tweedt. A year later, hernia has come back on the right and left was never touched. He is in the same shoes as he was a year ago. I am very disappointed with all this. I question his ability, judgement, and lack of communication with his patients. Needless to say, my husband had severe urine blockage after the procedure and had to go to hospital twice after being discharged. When we went to see Dr. Tweedt post op, his attitude was "Well it can happen". There was no emotion or empathy. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DR. TWEEDT TO ANYONE.
