I just visited Dr. Heckman for my shoulder injury and I had a wonderful experience. He is such a kind and soft spoken and helpful and patient doctor. He gives you full attention and is a great listener! And I also liked that he is mindful of alternative practices I believe in. Thank you Dr Heckman for the wonderful office visit.

Incredibly compassionate doctor and his staff. Understands the impact pain has on one’s life and never stops thinking of how best to help. I trust him explicitly with my life. I am not an “easy” patient due to inability to take pain meds as well as having multiple areas of pain due to a botched back surgery. Dr. Heckman is the kind of doctor everyone should have.

I've been seeing Dr. Heckman for years. He has been very good to me suggesting different treatments, I know I can be difficult because I have problems with a lot of meds. He hasn't given up on me yet. He is very knowledgeable when I ask him a question he will answer in a way I understand or show me me on the computer. He is very busy and u will have a long wait time. From time to time. He's worth it.

I have been Dr T. Heckman’s patient while he worked at Georgetown and Sibley hospitals in DC. Unfortunately (for me) he is practicing now too far from my home, otherwise I would never look for a better, more caring doctor. He has a rare ability to diagnose the problem but treat the patient. He is superbly qualified in every area of pain management, particularly in the interventional technics. Very unfortunately, the pain management specialty doesn’t attract top medical minds. Doctors like Thomas Heckman are a rare exception. I am certain that all of his greatful patients share my views. As a (retired) physician myself and an “experienced” patient, I consider Dr. Heckman to be one of the best specialists in his difficult field of practice. M. Ratpan

Dr. Heckman is that rare physician who sees the person, not just the patient. Lisa at the front desk is a key member of the practice. She is friendly on the phone and in person, gets messages to Dr. Heckman and then you get a call back. Corey is the same way. It didn't used to be that way but the office staff changed. Thank you to all of you!
