Had gone to annapolis surgery center for double descectamy. L1/2 andL3/4Had been having serve pain lower back (felt like electric shock ) shooting into legs making it hard to walk.At time of consultation dr Simmons said I'd be out of work 7 ta 10 days .I had procedure ..on the 12th of oct. ONCE I was clear to leave asked about post procedure instructions .A few minutes later nurse comes back gives me paper that says look for drainage or swelling for next 72 hours could use ice if needed .and to see different dr in easton following week .I called back to annapolis that afternoon and explained that didn't think they had given me right instructions for aftercare.the nurse said they were right.i have looked on line and spoke with another dr. These are instructions for injections and minor things not for descectamy . So beware if you have dr simmons no thought given to your aftercare at clearway surgery center in annapolis. Dr. Simmons is an incredible, doctor who takes time to listen to his patients especially when dealing with multiple health situations. He provides comfort, compassion & understanding esp. today as my mother had a pain block procedure. We were confident knowing she was in good hands! I will say unfortunately the anesthesiologist named Chris needs to learn from Dr. Simmons on bedside manner especially when you're dealing with the aging anxiety, fear, hearing loss & Parkinson's! Dr. Chris anesthesiologist needs to take the time to read her file, then respectfully address patient with kindness, empathy, compassion & understanding instead of humiliation! Having been an advocate myself for over 20 years it's always about the bedside manner, eye contact & reassuring the patient, so I will singing the highest of praise for Doctor Simmons in hopes that Dr Christopher will listen, take this teachable moment, reflect & learn from the very Best of Care who is Dr. Charles Simmons!

First time with Clearway Pain and was lucky enough to meet with Dr Simmons and can't say enough how wonderful this doctor is to help me get through this unfortunate time in my life. Even though it was busy at the office he patiently listened while I explained my condition with no rush. He also spent the time helping me understand what I needed to do to get well. Very knowledgeable with a down to earth pleasant personality and just an all out great doctor. Can't say enough....Thank you

I have been a patient at Kuresmart (Smartpain) for over 7 years,originally treated by Dr Simmons. I’ve also seen 5 other providers at the same office over the years which resulted because Dr Simmons schedule was always full. I’ve had great care since day one. But Dr Simmons is by far the very best dr I’ve ever had. I have several ailments from old injuries resulting in slipped disks, pinched nerves, chronic pain, & arthritis. I’ve had several procedures done by Dr Simmons and he is by far very knowledgeable, caring, understanding, he listens and hears you at the same time. He explains everything to you from the moment your procedure begins and explains what the next step will be and what to expect afterwards. Then at the follow up appts. he always asks questions and listens to your concerns and always has an answer. Unlike some Drs at follow up they have no idea what you’re even there for til you explain your last visit. Not Dr Simmons, I’ll never see another Dr for my care.
