Unsympathetic and Price Gouging Very disappointed with this practice. Everyone is like a robot when you speak with them from the front office staff to Dr Desai. There is no personal care. They took over Prince William Urology in Manassas last year. (I miss Dr. Sajadi!) Dr. Sajadi charged me $300 for a Mona Lisa Touch Annual Touch Up Procedure last year right before the merger, for which I initially paid $2100 for 3 sessions with him. Dr. Desai would not honor his fee or grandfather it in and wanted to charge me $800! He told me to Google it as it is standard now. Well, I did and this price is way on the high end. Places charge anywhere from $300-$1000 per session for the annual follow up session. They also told me they left a message on my voicemail in February telling me the amount. I did not get this voicemail and was angry that someone did not make personal contact with me to explain this large price difference or to even send a letter. I saw Dr. A Desai after a referral from the emergency room for kidney stones. I was in tremendous pain and Dr. A Desai told me in no uncertain terms the pain had nothing to do with the kidney stone on the imaging. He went on to tell me I needed to go to my primary care for a "complete workup". Well he could not have been more wrong. Five days later I passed a 7mm kidney stone and the pain went away. I am dumbfounded that he missed this diagnose, especially with all the tests and imaging.

Dr. Desai has an extremely compassionate demeanor. He truly enjoys assisting his patients. At my 1st visit I was very anxious and anticipated being told "all of your tests are normal." Instead, Dr. Desai assured me that he'd find the cause(s) of my problems and I would feeling better in no time. After just 3 visits, I'm glad that he was able to assist me in feeling better! Although I'll be under his care for a short while, I know I'm receiving the best treatment through it all!!

I had seen his brother several yeRs ago for kidney stones but when I called Potomac Urology for an appointment concerning a female issue they recommended Dr. Alok because he specializes in female issues. I was impressed at the ease of making an appointment and his thoroughness. He wanted to know about other health issues I was experiencing to enable him to consider all factors that might be causing my symptoms. He’s a keeper!

I love Dr. Alok Desai , I’ve been having a reacuring problem and he’s been nothing but kind, patient and caring . Never once has he made me feel like there’s nothing else he can do, He continues to make me feel confident that all is ok it just takes time . I’m always very pleased with his nurses Zenida and April they run the show ?????? I had a lovely nurse yesterday but didn’t get her name . The front desk is nice especially Claudia she greats me by name ,this is the Alex office. Maryann

Although Dr. Desai is a personable fellow, I have been largely disappointed with our patient/doctor relationship. I have asked three times for the doctor to call me in order to answer my questions but I have not heard from him. I purposely schedule appointments on a day during the week when he is scheduled to be there, but he rarely is. I will find a urologist who could be more interested in helping me.

Dr. Alok Desai is wonderful. He is knowledgeable, professional, caring, and listens and explains.

I was at Dr.Alok Desai's office yesterday , I was their 3 years ago and nothing has changed. He's still caring, kind and listens to All Your needs. I didn't rushed at all and I was able to talk to Him and understood all He said. From making the appointment to checking in was so easy I went to His Alexandria office which I love. I was also so happy to see His nurse Zenaida She remembered Me and made Me feel like I was their yesterday what a great welcome back. I recommend Dr.Alot Desai He's the best and so is His staff. Treats me as a person, not a patient. Extremely knowledgeable. Takes his time and explains everything in easy to understand layman's terms.

Dr. Desai is very caring and passionate about what he does. He shows concern not only for the medical issues he is treating, but for my overall health and well-being. He listens to all concerns and provides valuable advice. Couldn't ask for a better doctor.
