I’m nearing my 1-month post-op from replacing my natural lens with Vivity intraocular lens (IOL) at EnVue Eye & Laser Center. I’m a 45-year-old female w/ no major health problems but have experienced right eye cataract issues for nearly 2 years. I also have worn high-prescription glasses w/ astigmatism for 40 years. I’m glad I found Dr. Rivers and EnVue Eye & Laser Center while searching for the best ophthalmologist in the DC Metro area. The first appointment I had with them, I automatically felt like I was treated like family. EnVue Eye & Laser Center staff genuinely care, are pleasant/hospitable, and took the time to educate me about my eyes. As for Dr. Rivers, he is so knowledgeable and an expert in his field. He provided me with options/solutions and was not pushy. I had no hesitation that within a week of meeting him, I was in his surgery room, getting both my eyes fixed. After surgery, my vision is now 20/30 (and still getting better w/ time) with my new Vivity IOLs, and I am free from wearing my Coke-bottle glasses. I also received their OptiLight services for dry eyes last week. Since then, my dry eyes have improved significantly and aren’t gritty. I’m glad I made the leap of faith and trust to go with Dr. Rivers and EnVue Eye & Laser Center, and I look forward to my next appointment with them. I recommend them 100%.

I came to see Dr. Rivers after having a complex case for severe dry eyes following laser eye surgery and am so lucky I was able to find him and his staff. I saw multiple ophthalmologists that were not able to determine the underlying cause of my eye dryness, however Dr. Rivers knew right away. He is incredible kind, personable, intelligent, and fantastic at what he does. All of his staff are also outstanding, make you feel well cared for, and go out of their way to help you. I would 10/10 recommend this practice!

My experience with Dr. Rivers and the whole team at EnVue Eye & Laser Center had been terrific! The facility was clean and well-maintained. I had SMILE eye surgery last week and can’t believe that I can see clearly with no glasses! The procedure was quick and painless, and the recovery time was minimal. I highly recommend EnVue Eye & Laser Center to anyone who needs eye treatment.

The absolute best! I had cataract surgery done with another doctor on my right eye; horrible experience and I still cannot see well out of that eye. A totally different experience with Dr. Rivers. The procedure was much more pleasant, and I (after two weeks) cannot already see much better than I could before. He's the best!

I went to Envue Eye & Laser Center for SMILE corrective surgery and am very pleased with the results. Dr. Bruce Rivers was very attentive, spent plenty of time with me explaining the process, and treated me as a human being rather than just another patient number. I am having a fantastic experience with Dr. Rivers and his whole Staff at Envue Eye & Laser Ctr. About 2 weeks ago I had RLE and I couldn’t be happier! The entire process from the 2 hour gratis examination and consultation to determine my options, to the personal phone call from Dr Rivers to answer my follow up questions, to scheduling my procedure, the pre-op appointment, the procedure and subsequent follow up appointments have been beyond stellar. The professionalism, exceptionally high standards and quality of care is above and beyond any expectations. Everyone on staff is throughly knowledgeable about the procedures and can answer questions. I feel like I’m a part of the family, not just another patient or number. The office is beautiful and calming. I received the Smile eye procedure from EnVue Eye & Laser Center. Dr. Rivers and his team are extremely professional, knowledgeable, personal and caring! I have nothing but great things to say about the service that EnVue has to offer. The staff was very warm and did an amazing job with explaining the different eye correction procedures they offered. On the day of my procedure I the staff greeted me with a smile and asked how I was feeling about the procedure. The whole thing lasted about an hour from checking in prep and recovery. Dr. Rivers and his team were extremely professional throughout the process and making sure I was calm and felt safe through the procedure by talking it all out to me as the worked. I would highly recommend giving them a visit if you’re looking to get out of glasses or contacts!
