List of Urgent Care Matters's Reviews
This is the 3rd time I've been here and been turned away and they don't close until 8pm. It's 6:30pm.
This was the second time I went and was disappointed. Both times I called prior to going. First time they never told me the computer system was down. Second time they didn't tell me their x Ray tech was not going to be in. Mind you I took the day off work and was sitting in the waiting room for about fifteen minutes when I was informed that they couldn't do x-rays. Hip and shoulder was on fire. I was beyond pissed.
In pain ..Tried to be seen & was turned away ! They told me they had seen their last client..Lunch hour was over so to be turned away was beyond me ! Just unprofessional to me . If I'm not mistaken urgent care was for to urgently help .I was turned away with no explanation
Total unprofessional, I had a digital card and they refused to see me. The receptionist said they only take physical cards.
My son went here and was diagnosed with bronchitis the doctor prescribed him an antibiotic and a cough medicine and he didn't improve at all, he ended up going to our pcp who frowned at what was prescribed to him, our doctor prescribed him steroid medication and another type of cough medicine and he was better in no time needless to say we won't return to the Oxon Hill location.
Although there was a bit of an initial wait, the staff was courteous and professional.
I went there on Saturday with a knee problem. Completely useless. I am still in pain, and have the same problem. Have been at this place a couple of times, and I always was helped. I will not go back.
This place is a ripoff. The one physician was extremely unprofessional and made things extremely stressful (I can't even rehash the negative situation on here). Go downtown or to Northern Virginia, before wasting your time here. I have a PPO and received a huge bill from these guys. This has never happened at any other emergency care place in the DMV. If you want extraordinary fees after you pay your deductible, go here for the unexpected ripoff.
really don't like this place... it's convenient to my home... been in exam room 1 waited for about 20 minutes until I opened the door because it was hot, the I guess nurse told me due to hippa that I had to shut the door so I let them know that my daughter hasn't even been triaged as we spoke... omg!!! I could go on and on but I'm tired... they're absolutely clueless and rude and the physician assistant look about 19... I don't know where this place came from but it need to go back
Terrible. I went there this morning and was the first to arrive. The receptionist was great -- very polite and professional. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff was not on the same level. After waiting a bit too long to be seen because the PA had left the premises, the PA came to my exam room. She did not introduce herself or say who/what she was (I was hoping to see a Dr). She asked me some questions about my issue and left without telling me what was going to happen next. Another employee (I will call her a nurse) entered the exam room, also did not introduce herself and said she was going to do what the PA instructed her to do. I told the nurse what was going on with me, she said that the PA was wrong, and that she was going to call the PA to discuss the issue. Mind you, the PA left the premises again, this time to go to Dollar Tree which, is the last time I checked, does not sell medical equipment. The nurse called the PA and the PA came back and said that we would stick with the original plan. Ok, fine. So the nurse comes back, starts executing the original plan, and then stops to again express her disagreement with the PA. Nearly an hour has gone by and mind you, I'm the only patient in the facility so there is no reason this took so long. The nurse continues to try to talk ad nauseum about what should be done instead. It was obvious that the nurse is just making excuses so that she would not have to do what the PA asked her to do. At this point, I'm completely disgusted with the back and forth about why the PA was wrong and abruptly left before I said something I regretted. I left, called a real Dr's office, was seen the same day (before my appointment time!), and was out within 30 minutes. This Dr, in stark contrast to the staff at Urgent Care Matters, introduced himself upon entering the room and talked me through everything he was doing. I will not be returning to this facility and expect a full refund for my co-pay. This experience was utterly ridiculous and a complete waste of my valuable time.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
