List of Hilary W. Ginter's Reviews
I went in for pelvic pain. I just wanted to make sure my IUD was in the right place. Dr. Ginter assured me it was, and sent me on my way. A couple weeks later i found out my insurance was billed $900 for some sort of swab that was performed without my knowledge. I thought for sure it must have just been a billing mistake since I did not consent to or even know about this test, nor did I receive any results. After two messages via the patient portal and leaving a message with the office, I finally got a call back and found out that it is "common" for this to happen if you go in with pelvic pain. Definitely recommend Dr Ginter if you don't mind not knowing what is happening to your vagina while you cant see it! If that makes you uncomfortable, I suggest maybe not putting the paper napkin over your lap so you can see what she's doing down there. One thing is for certain, she won't tell you, and you will be billed for it.
I can’t speak to the doctor but the office is a no for me. I waited two months for an appointment for a pap that was overdue - just recently moved to this area ( two prior abnormal paps with past surgery required so I was anxious about being late on having a pap) I have 5 children and had to bring the youngest three with me as I’m new to the area without a babysitter and the kids are out of school. ...
Not very compassionate.Think this has just become nothing more than a get them in and out job to her.As a patient I heard her and a nurse talking negatively about a patient.I didn't feel comfortable with this doctor.
The lack of accountability at my last appointment was atrocious. Dr. Ginter's lack of preparation was made evident when her professional advice contradicted the findings of medical studies and research conducted on my hormonal disorder. Not only did I waste my time and money on an appointment that was unproductive, but Dr. Ginter tried to tell me that OBGYN was not the appropriate specialty for my hormonal disorder, which is caused by female sex hormones. I would have appreciated a little effort on Dr Ginter's part to research my hormonal disorder before our appointment, or she could have told me she was not comfortable treating it. Dr. Ginter's lack of accountability has earned her this 1 star review.
I just LOVE Dr. Ginter! There’s just something about her. It doesn’t take much conversation with her to realize she’s the one. From her delivering my first baby to treating with her now, I feel safe and certain about things. I feel like I don’t have to question anything or be left confused and worried like doctors I have treated with in the past. She answers all of my questions with confidence, and I trust 100% she knows what she’s talking about. I had a placental abruption my first pregnancy and had to have an emergency c-section, and there is literally no one else I would have rather had deliver my baby in that circumstance. A year later, my incision feels fully healed with no soreness or numbness. No matter what happens with this one, I believe I am in the best hands possible.
I have been seeing Dr. Ginter for number of years and i have had problems with abnormal pap smears which lead to biopsies. The last visit in August 2020 was the first pap smear since a LEEP procedure in August of 2019 due to Covid. When I saw the lab results from Lab Corp I was fairly alarmed and contacted Dr. Ginter via the patient portal. I heard nothing and contacted her again the following week. It took more than two weeks for her to contact me about the results. Her excuse was she didn't want to deliver the bad news that I needed another biopsy. How could a doctor withhold "bad news" if that is what they are supposed to do and then discuss a treatment plan. Poor excuse and unacceptable. I immediately began looking for a new doctor.
Best OB in the area. Just trust her all the way and everything will be fine she knows her job.
Not professional and no communication
I just received my 1st LEEP procedure today at the Summit Health Care facility. (building 757,suite 100) I almost lost my mind after receiving news that my biopsy had a high grade chance of becoming cancer. Dr. Ginter was very informative about the LEEP procedure, but did not seem to have a "warm and fuzzy" personality. When I asked her questions about the procedure she gave very precise and accurate answers. Today, when I went for the procedure the nurses, anastasiologist, and Dr. Ginter were AMAZING. When it was time to go back to the operating room Dr. Ginter showed her nurturing side and did everything in her power to make sure I was as comfortable as I could be. I was ExTREMELY impressed and satisfied with the care I received. I would highly recommend Dr.Ginter and the Summit Health center to anyone who is looking to receive accurate and affective health care.
Great in every aspect of care. Very intelligent. She puts her critical thinking skills to good use. I have had surgery with her and other procedure done. She is highly recommended by me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
