Very frustrating to try to get in touch with anyone at this practice. They use a call center. You cannot get anyone from rt ye office to answer questions. Hands off practice.

I called this center twice with minutes of waiting. Very friendly receptionist but impossible to get an appointment with Dr Howland,Hartley. The center was to call me back and i still waiting. So i decide see another dermatologist. Very bad expérience.

Dr. Hartley is extremely disrespectful in a condescending manner. When I asked him to explain why he thought a mole on my son that had me up at night for two weeks (because it met every single criteria of melanoma as listed even on the Melanoma Foundation website) - was not melanoma he refused to answer and told me he would give me his dermatology books to read, that he couldn't possibly "teach me" how to be a dermatologist. I felt traumatized and embarrassed in front of my child.

Dr Hartley is not only an excellent, thorough and top notch Doctor in his field-- --he is exceptionally kind and has such a wonderful and caring manner with his patients. I simply adore him! So thankful for him over the years and the care that he has given to me an family members. His staff is also so very kind and caring. That is HUGE when entering into a medical facility. So appreciate all they do! Excellent and superior in his field ---Dr Hartley is!

Dr. Hartley is one of the most thorough and knowledgeable doctors I have ever met. He always ensures that time spent with him is meaningful and addresses all concerns. He is a much coveted doctor in the Washington DC area and once you have met him, you would know why!
