dr settle has been my ob from the beginning of 2nd trimester due to issues with previous doctor. Every visit I come to the staff is very friendly and dr settle is wonderful at answering any questions I have

For a polite intelligent young lady

Wonderful bedside manner and the most professional Dr. I know.

Dr Settle is rude to surrounding staff and has horrible bedside manner. She came in at the last minute, was short and rude like our delivery was such an inconvenience to her. Our daughter came out with the cord twice around her neck and limp. The inattentive doctor took her time and asked if I wanted to cut the cord; causing me to snap at her to cut the cord because I saw the child was limp. Very upsetting!

We were turned over to Dr Settle after our OB left the practice. I would wished we would have moved practices all together. She delivered our daughter and we were not happy with the experience. She seemed rude to the other staff members, and lacked attention during the delivery. Our daughter had the cord twice around her neck and was limp when she came out. The Dr didn’t notice and asked me if I wanted to cut the cord and I snapped at her to cut the cord because I saw the baby was limp. It was a pretty upsetting experience for new parents who are already overwhelmed.

I met Dr. Settle when I was a patient of Waldorf Women's Care and she is the reason that I left that practice! I was 5 months pregnant, considered to be high risk and since I'd miscarried in 2017, I was on pins and needles with this pregnancy. My usual provider wasn't in so they had rude Dr. Settle to see me, whom rushed through our visit and never listened to any of my concerns or questions. She actually walked out during my appointment after 6 minutes, told the staff to write me a doctor's note for work with limitations and left me sitting on the exam table. I have had to interact with two doctors, explaining my health concerns each time, but this Dr. Settle seemed to be the least bit concerned of my medical history. After that visit, I went to their front desk, requested my medical records and told them that I would not be returning! Dr. Kateena Settle, you may need more training when it comes to dealing with patients and active listening would be a plus in your profession.

Worst doctor that may exist. In the year 2017 I went to the emergency room at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center , since I realized I was pregnant and it was a surprise for me, I just wanted to know if it was fine, they did a sonogram, and Dr Settle came to my room and told me you have an ectopic pregnancy , we have to terminate the pregnancy. I was crying as she explained to me the options that I had a Surgery or injection I asked for 5 minutes to make my decision and she replied that if I had to think about it, she had other things to do and left. ok I decided to be injected and they sent me to my house. On the next day, my pain was very strong, I returned to the emergency room ,after another sonogram realized that my pregnancy was in the womb was never an ectopic pregnancy, and the result she used to give me the injection was not concluded by the radiologist. I end up losing my baby and she told me that was never a real pregnancy because i was only 12 weeks

Dr Settle delivered my baby in 2017. As a first time mother who was very informed, Dr Settle read my birth plan and was willing to let me have an active role in my delivery. She allowed me to have a voice in what was going on, and what to expect next. She also allowed me to deliver in an upright position, which studies have proven to provide up to 10% more room for the baby's delivery. I had an amazing delivery and Dr Settle was a key factor! She's also very kind and listens to her patients.
