List of MIchelle D. Johnson's Reviews
My fiance is pregnant and has had a sinus infection for weeks now. Her primary care doctor told her it would be ok to take a z pac but to check with her obgyn to make sure. She called the on call doctor and got was put through to DR Johnson. After explaining why she was calling this lady has the nerve to tell her, "uhhmm a doctor wouldn't say to take it if it wasn't ok". Then why isn't it on the list of medications that pregnant women can take that your office gives. Absolutely horrible phone etiquette and customer service. Extremely glad she's not my wife's doctor and pray to God she's not on call when we she goes into labor.
Dr Johnson is absolutely wonderful! She was with me every step of the way thru 2 miscarriages and the birth of my 3 children. Her bedside manner is phenomenal and I am grateful for all that she has done for me and my family.
Dr. Johnson has been treating me for over 13 yrs. Very professional, friendly and don't cut any corners! Very polite and very easy to talk to! Amazing woman!
Dr. Johnson has been my OB for a little over 3 years now. She was on top of all of my issues with a very high-risk pregnancy and cried with me when I lost that baby at 19 days old. She has been so supportive and so knowledgeable with all of my subsequent pregnancies and she feels more like a friend than just my doctor at this point. She truly cares about her patients, both medically and emotionally. She never rushes me out of the office and answers all of my questions with kindness and patience. I recommend her to everyone who is looking!
Absolutely horrible
The day of my appointment I arrive 30 min early (even though they only suggest 15.) I was so excited to get the consult and get my life back. Johnson keeps me waiting almost 30 minutes past my appointment time. When I walk back to get my BP checked and weigh-in, her medical assistant seemed really irritable and handed me a bunch of pamphlets about "hysterectomy." She leave me in the room for an additional 10-15 minutes and finally Johnson walks in. Johnson was very abrupt. She reviewed or should I say "skimmed" over my medical records from the previous visit and asked had I read over the pamphlets. I said, "No not really, but since I'm sitting her with a live medical professional, I figure I'd just ask you the questions that I have." She says, "Well, have you had any children?" I'm looking at her like why is this even relevant and reply, "Never been pregnant, never had children." Without even looking up, she says, "I know you want to get the hysterectomy done laparoscopically, but you are not a candidate for that. You've never had children and so the only way to do your hysterectomy is to do the "smiley face." She was stoic, she didn't even look me in the eye.In that moment, I knew that she was full of bullsh!t, and yet, I allowed her to continue to see how far she would actually go. She also went on to say that because my uterus was too large (10cm), it could not come out of my vagina (by the way, that is not how robotic surgery is performed) because my cervix had never been dilated enough due to me never having children. She said that I had a lot to think about and I needed go home, read the stupid pamphlets that she gave me and make the best decision. This was probably the best advice she gave during our entire visit.I didn't need to do any research to know that Johnson was full of sh!t. I expected so much more from her especially as a woman. Upon walking out of her office, I knew that it was the last time that I would ever be a patient in that office and I am writing this review to warn other women. I wish I had been warned. You see, not every doctor goes that extra mile and goes back to get the schooling and training that it takes to get into robotic surgery. Instead of saying," Hey I don't have those tools in my toolbox," she ill-informed me. She told me that I was not a candidate for the surgery which was a bold-faced lie. Yes, doctor's lie too, especially when they are too embarrassed to admit that they are performing major medical procedures in an antiquated way. She is an old school "doctor" that is probably really good a delivering babies, however, if you have any major GYN issues, please look somewhere else. Her toolbox is very limited and instead of admitting that, she'll make it seem like you are not a candidate for state of the art, top of the line treatment. She'll try to convince you that her outdated ways of practice are the only way.Fast update: The day after my nightmare visit with Johnson, I went home, got on my lovely laptop and begin googling away. After a full day of searching, I was able to secure one of the BEST surgeons in the area at John Hopkins in Baltimore, MD. Not only did she advise me that I was a perfect candidate for the procedure, after very thorough in person and video consultations went in and had the procedure 5 days ago ( 12/10/2020) I can't say enough amazing things about this doctor/woman. She gave me back my quality of life. After 5 days, I'm walking around, I don't need to take any narcotics and I feel amazing. NO MORE PAIN. GET A SECOND, THIRD AND FOURTH OPINION WHEN IT COME TO YOUR HEALTH. These doctors/medical professionals are not all created equal and this experience has driven that home for me. I am so happy that I trusted my gut, and walked away from Michelle Johnson and never looked back!!!
Front office staff is the absolute WORST. Specifically Cheryl... she will make your experience the worst. She speaks about you badly to her coworkers - just enough for you to hear. I’ve been here 3 times just to get, “your insurance isn’t active”. After showing and rescheduling TWICE past my active date. She is the most ignorant and disrespectful person I’ve ever had to deal with. I’ve talked to the MA about my experience the first and second time with Cheryl, I come back for the 3rd time and it’s still the same thing and the same woman. I am looking for a “high risk” specialist because of my past pregnancies and was referred to this one. A pregnancy is supposed to be a happy time but that woman has made it the absolute worst experience yet.
Struggled to get a referral faxed over for a week. Also, wasn't called back at all. Had left messages multiple times, never any form of response. Extremely unprofessional.
Well for starters had my yearly checkup scheduled for a year in advance, when I showed up for it I was told the computers are down and can't see me. Rescheduled my appt. wasn't easy to do , it wasn't my fault they cancelled but had to wait 2 months before they could fit me back in . Call me crazy , but they cancelled the appointment, wouldn't you think they would go out of the way to try and reschedule me, nope not the case at all.Show up for my next appointment, told dr. Johnson had a family issue come up. Rescheduled for the third time , keep in mind now I'm almost 5 months past my original yearly scheduled appointment. Finally was seen on the third visit. NOW it is almost impossible to get someone from her office to call me back to get my results from the appointment. I've left 3 messages in one day ..... no calls back . Worst customer services office . I'm searching for a new gyn! So disappointed with the office .
An untrustworthy doctor

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
