I have seen 3 other endocrine docs in southern maryland. Dr Thomas is the first one that has taken the time to review my medical history thoroughly, listen to me and work with me. I am not a "typical" diabetic, but have diabetes due to a, newly found, genetic defect. The other docs would have put me in the hospital treating me with "standard" methods. Dr Thomas is knowledgeable, thorough and caring. Nice to have such a specialist local.

I had my first visit with Dr. Thomas and I was impressed by her professionalism and knowledge. We reviewed all my labs and she gave me comprehensive information regarding my results. Very condescending and does not listen to her patients. I tried to advocate for my care using medical journals and patient information from a reputable medical source (uptodate.com) and she equated the effort I spent on my health/trying to understand my disease progression to "reading blogs." If you like to ask questions and understand your treatment plan, this is not the endocrinologist for you.

She is stern and tough, but very knowledgeable. I need a tough Dr. To keep me focused on keeping my diabetes in control. She has been a blessing to me and my condition.
