List of Joan Parambi's Reviews
I’m taking time out to right a review because I keep seeing bad reviews and I don’t understand why. To me Dr. Parambi is an excellent endocrinologist. She’s not one of those doctors you have to explain every symptom you have for her to know how to treat you . I have been going to her for a year and she has helped tremendously with my hyperthyroidism. She has even helped with referring me to other specialist that have been able to help me in addition to her care . She may not be the type to talk to like a regular physician but she gets the job done and is very acknowledgeable . I love her and I’m so grateful to have her as my endocrinologist.
Dr. Parambi is a excellent endocrinologist with patience along with a great bedside manner and your Diebetic health is her number 1 concern I would highly recommend her supervised health care .
Dr Parambi is currently my ENT. I respect her opinion and trust her diagnosis
No. You can't reach anyone in the office. In their recording at the beginning of their message, it tells you to call the office to get instructions for coming inside. If they never answer the phone how do you get the instructions? I called fifteen times in two weeks and never reached anyone.
Dr. Parambi was my endocrinologist for a years and a half. From the very first appointment I didn’t care for. She has no bed side manner. I felt has though she was pushing me to choose one treatment without giving other options. I had to do my own research about other treatments. The last visit was the worst. She was upset because I did something without consulting her. She told I could die because my heart rate was at 102. She also accused me of not reading the material she gave me which talked about her issues. I went back and read same material that was given to me on the first day I saw her and it had nothing about a heart attack or any heart condition. She told me if I did not listen to her medical advice then she would no longer treatment me. For a year and half I did everything she told to me do. My level went up because she took me off the medication too fast and she blamed me. She has a very nasty tone when speaking to patients. I found a new doctor the same day.
This doctor is the most cherished doctor I have ever experienced. She gave me all the tools I needed to care for my diabetes. I am so indebted to her. I love you Dr Parambi. You gave me the tools I needed to stay alive.
Good
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Parambi’s for about a year. From the start of the first appointment, I found her tone to be rude and sarcastic. “How do you not know what (insert obscure medical jargon here) means? You should really know that by now.” she scoffed. Ultimately, I thought maybe she was having an off day so I’d give it another shot. The next few appointments were no better. I have seen a pattern whereby she is regularly condescending and often lectures or gaslights me. Her staff are friendly but twice have had unexplainable IT issues that I was blamed for. Every time I go into an appointment, I have to brace myself mentally to withstand some emotional abuse. I think if you are comfortable being treated with disrespect, then she’s the right doctor for you.
I don't think I have enough space to write all the good things I have to say about Dr. Parambi. After months and months of being extremely ill and treated for type 2 diabetes I made an appoint with Dr. Parambi. Unlike all the endocrinology practices near me I didn't have to wait six months to be seen. My first visit she spent an hour and a half with me. Long story short, I have adult onset type one diabetes. I have now been a patient with her for over two years. She fights for her patients to get them the medication and equipment they need. She fights for your health and wellness. She literally saved my life. If you want someone to coddle you she is not the doctor for you. If you need some tough love, motivation, and someone in your corner then you've picked the right place! I drive a good distance to see her, and so does my dad who also has the same type of diabetes I do.
Excellent and first of 3 Drs to get me closer to controlling my DM

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
