List of Central Maryland Eye Associates's Reviews
I was previously a patient here. Firstly, the receptionist was very rude and had an attitude when I tried to schedule my appointment. This gave me a bad impression of the practice before I came in for my appointment. Secondly, the appointment was not helpful. They could not drain my stye and told me to see a plastic surgeon if I wanted the capsule removed. However, they did not tell me this until my second appointment so that they could bill my insurance twice for an eye exam.
saw Dr. amy Nicolas and was extremely happy. She found an issue that had been bothering me for three years and was missed by several other opthamology practices. Immaculate office, kind office staff.
This office has billing issues and the service basically failed to work. Examples: a) I received an unreasonable charge for a regular check-up. b) called billing department several times without response (left messages) c) then, I found another Dr office. However, this office refuses to transfer the whole history. d) I went to the office and asked for my history (in person during pandemic). They charged me for the "printing". (about $80) e) I asked the front desk to have the billing department call me. Still no response. I'm almost 100% sure they overcharge as I compared the same check-up before and after this visit (the same year). As far as the "printing fee", they told me that they counted by # of pages. After I scanned all the pages, guess what? Even the "printing fee" was overcharge as well. I'm really surprised about this type of service. BTW, all other complaints, in the reviews, regarding the "long waiting time" are true. I knew they may leave a response below this review (with a phone #). But I don't think this will work.
I had an appointment at 3:40pm. I arrived on time. They didn't take me to the back until 40 minutes past my appointment time. After the initial evaluation, they told me they need to dilate my pupils and it will take 5-10 minutes for the eye drop to work. Another 15 minutes later the doctor finally came in. She looked at my eyes for 5 minutes. And as soon as i started asking a question, she looked at her watch. My whole experience was just awful. They were not professional at all. If you don't want to be waiting forever in the lobby of a doctor's office in the middle of a pandemic, don't go to this place. They should've at least be courteous enough to call and let me know they were running behind or ask me to wait in the car before they were ready to see me.
Dr. Gross is truly wonderful !
Really nice front office and Dr. Gross is always a warm professional to see.
Excellent for all aspects!!!
Dr. Holly Gross was wonderfully kind to me and knew exactly what was wrong and how to treat it. I'm so grateful to have her taking care of my eyes.
Professional, friendly, great staff and Dr. Gross is the best. Had Cataract surgery and general eye work done over several years and very satisfied.
Dr. Gross was immensely competent and careful. She was also very nice. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
