Dr. Butler is a knowledgeable, kind, caring doctor who listens to any and all concerns and helps his patients find the best care for what they are dealing with. I am so grateful I found him and he has stuck with me through my illness over the last 20+ years.

Dr. Butler in my mind is the best GI Doc in the DMV. He always listens to my concerns and comes up with a solution to solve my healthcare needs. 5-Stars all around and I highly recommend Capital Digestive Care!

Called this office because I was having some very concerning issues and needed to schedule an urgent appointment. I was told that I would receive a call back from doctor that day, but did not happen. I called back the next morning to voice my concerns and was told the Dr. was performing procedures the previous day and that was the reason for not receiving the call back. I was told that another message would be sent to the Dr & his assistant and I should receive a call back that day, but that did not happen. I called back late afternoon to explain what happened and requested my medical records. In addition, I requested a call back from the office manager, but haven't received that call yet. I have been a patient for 10 years and now will have to seek care from new physician

Before the appointment I was asked to list all my information (Name, address, prescriptions, family history, etc) online. WHICH I DID. It took 20-25 minutes. When I got there they asked me the exact same questions and even stated that they had no access or had not seen the web site they had sent to me online. It was pretty frustrating to go through all that trouble for nothing.

Dr. Butler was friendly, listened and didn't rush through the appointment. HE explained things clearly and thoroughly. I feel comfortable receiving care from this doctor!

My husband, Sunderan Moses, had an endoscopy done by Dr. Butler last week. When, selecting a doctor from those in the practice, I went sort-of "eeny-meeny" and asked for him! We were so fortunate. From our first facetime appointment with him, he put us at ease, answered our questions and never made us feel rushed. At the time of the procedure, Sunderan said, his surgeon in such a happy frame of mind, he almost forgot that he was there for a surgical procedure. Seems Dr. Butler was completely professional, but also very pleasant and jolly! The procedure went well and my husband is already feeling positive results from the problem he had. Also, Shady Grove hospital and staff were excellent.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Butler for years for our digestive problems. He has done colonoscopies and endoscopies for both of us to correct our problems. Also, we enjoy talking and seeing him. We think he is the best.
