Sameer Sofat's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Samir Sofat is a wonderfully competent Doctor. Last January - I went to him to check on missed heart beats. He and his wonderful brother Dr. Shubir Sofat did a comprehensive evaluation of not just my heart, but also the arteries located in my neck, arm, and legs. They heard Bruit in my right carotid artery, and had me undergo doppler tests of the carotid artery. This was in January 2022. Over the next 8 months - my right carotid artery deteriorated to 95% blockage, and I had to undergo an urgent carotid endarterectomy surgery for plaque removal at the University of Chicago Medical center. Dr Sameer and Dr. Shubir gave me a new lease of life. Without them, I would either have had a stroke already, or would well on my way to having one. They are beacons of medical excellence. Period. Other doctors can follow their example. They went ABCD - Above and Beyond the Call of Duty -to examine my Carotid Artery. How many other cardiologists do it? Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sameer.

Makes you wait an hour before they see you. Others run tests. He reads while you wait. Then tells you to return later for tests. All about billing your insurance. Sent me to hospital but never called to see how I am doing. Hospital said I had three blood clots because Sofat would not refill until I came it. But his staff kept saying the blood thinners would be refilled. Month later, if you want to see doctor you have to wait another month to see him. Medical money making factory that wants to keep you sick and coming back. Go somewhere else. Graduated from an inferior medical school. You deserve better when it comes to your heart.

His compassion and care is clearly evident. Great practice and makes you feel at ease and comfortable. Very knowledgeable and wholistic approach to patient care!

Very shocked by the receptionist unprofessional behavior and bad attitude. My primary care doctor spoke highly of Sameer Sofat and recommended that I see him for my treatment. When I called today to make an appointment, the receptionist said I can't decide what doctor to see and that it may be him or his brother. When I explained he was the doctor on my referral, she didn't seem to care and argued with me about my appointment. I didn't even want to schedule the appointment and seek care from the office, but I trust my primary doctor's advice. That office needs a new receptionist who won't be rude and scare away new patients.

Delegated all responsibilities to assistant. Had very poor communication skills. Overbooked his appointments every time.
