Dr. Danilyants and her team were wonderful! They made my surgical experience an easy one. Dr.Danilyants, is very knowledgeable and experienced. She answered all my questions along the way.
I am sorry but your response seems very much like projection to me on the type of attitude Mckoul had at my appointment and serous lack of compassion along with the constant backtracking. Like saying one thing at one appointment. Then saying the complete opposite for the exact same subject at another. If there is misinformation coming from anywhere it is from there. The fact also that there was no apology in the response for my less than professional and highly uncomfortable and confusing appointment also shows a serious lack of care for patients and professionalism, IMO. I laid out what took place in those phone calls accurately and as fairly as I could. The issue here is not on this end but on your end. I am only questioning integrity based on Mckouls attitude and severe lack of consistency in what he said. Not in his surgical skill or what was found in the scans or reasoning for getting them. But his inconsistencies in the reason to believe or not believe them. With endometriosis you should largely follows symptoms and a diagnostic lap. MRIs should never be used to diagnose Endo. Every good endo specialist should know that. This attempt to project responsibility back on me. When I wasn't the one being dramatic and saying "OH MY GOSH." In a loud voice or inconsistent. Just confirms I made the right decision not to proceed. This review is based on verifiable facts along with my personal experience with this provider. Which is what reviews are meant for. So here is more misinformation. Reviews are meant for personal experiences. Also, I have never once questioned my last surgeons expertise because he didn't do these things. That was just more projection. Your whole response was CRINGE. I spoke with Dr Mckoul a few times to discuss my symptoms related to endometriosis returning. I was less than impressed with his attitude. I only ever spoke to him on the phone. And if I had a surgery I would actually never meet the surgeon before literally having my body cut open. Which feels a lot like having a car worked on. My main issue was on one phone call, he would say one thing. But on the next call he would say the opposite. For instance on my first phone call I questioned him about the 2 MRIs that I had done that I sent him because I am very aware they can be undependable and I told him what another Dr said about the MRIs. His response was. "I have to go by what the MRI said." He wanted ANOTHER MRI done. So a 3rd MRI. when it came back it showed nothing. Not even close to the 2 I had done before that were consistent. His attitude was completely the opposite this time and I told him his attitude was different. He just argued with me saying it wasn't. Later he did say. "My poster has changed with this new MRI. And, what else would you expect of me?" As if the MRI was my fault. Which is inconsistent with what he argued earlier. He this time said that. "No good Dr would ever go by what an MRI says because 90% of the time they are wrong." Which is not what he said in the first phone call. And this was literally why I questioned him the first time because I knew they are often wrong. He was also very dramatic saying "OH MY GOSH." When I tried to explain how just because this MRI didn't show what the first MRIs did. Doesn't mean they are wrong and this one is right. You can't go by that. What was found in my first diagnostic surgery wasn't shown at all in the MRIs done at then. It has been some very bizarre and uncomfortable conversations. I am surprised that Drs are so comfortable treating people this way. And not sure if they don't remember what they said before or why they constantly contradict themselves. Maybe some training again in professional interactions and how to treat the public would be beneficial. I would prefer to roll the dice with the first surgeon who literally told me he had to stop my first surgery halfway through due to risk. Rather than be treated so disrespectfully. The one shows arrogance and disregard. And the other shows respect and regard for my well-being.
Dr. Danilyants made my surgical process literally one of the easiest things I’ve done all year. It was harder for me to get the MRI to diagnose the thing I needed surgery for! If you’re a woman experiencing pain, please make an appt with Dr. Danilyants at CIGC. 15/10 recommend.
9 days ago I had a partial hysterectomy at CIGC to remove a large fibroid that was causing me discomfort. I can't say enough about how wonderful CIGC is! The staff, nurses, and surgeon were all so caring and professional. They walked me through every step, answering my questions and listening to my concerns. My OBGYN doctor told me my only option for a hysterectomy would be to have a large abdominal incision with 1-2 days in the hospital and 6 weeks recovery. CIGC removed it with laparoscopic out-patient surgery with 2 small incisions, one at my belly button and one at my bikini line with 7-10 days recovery. By day 7, I could walk my normal half mile route around the neighborhood. I still have healing to do, but the pain is minimal. Anyone who has issues with fibroids, endometriosis, or other GYN problems should consult CIGC. I'm so thankful I did!
Excellent experience from first call to post op visit. Great team. Made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process.
I had my surgery at CIGC, and my experience was amazing! from the front desk to discharge! I arrived with a lot of anxiety, especially about the anesthesia. I’ve had a couple of unpleasant recoveries in the past, so I was really nervous. But I want to say thank you so much to the anesthesia doctor! I didn’t have any of the uncomfortable experiences I’d had before when waking up. I woke up feeling so calm. It made such a difference! A very special thank you to Ivy, the kind and caring nurse who explained everything to me in detail. She was incredibly patient and took her time helping me with my end-of-day recovery on Friday. She also checked on me in the following days and answered all of my questions. Her support and patience truly made me feel cared for and reassured. Thank you so much, Dr. MacKoul, jand all the amazing staff at CIGC. You turned a stressful situation into a smooth and comforting experience. I’m truly grateful for everything!
The staff took incredible care of me here for my hysterectomy. It was so fast and smooth. My last gynaecological surgery was in a hospital and this one was a thousand times better in every way.
I recently had a partial hysterectomy with CIGC in Rockville, MD and I could not have had a better experience with Dr. Danilyants and her team on July 28, 2025. I have suffered from endometriosis/adenomyosis for my adult life and painful menstrual cycles starting in my teenage years I was ready to begin a new chapter of life. My uterus gave my husband and I our beautiful daughter 8 years ago, but now is the time for my quality of life to improve!! From the front office staff to the check in nurse and the anesthesiologist to the doctor herself- I had an exceptional experience. I was very nervous going into the surgery and the nurse was kind and supportive. She took the time to talk me through it. Upon waking up and in recovery I wasn’t feeling quite ready to go home so they made my extra time comfortable and not like a burden. I greatly appreciated my follow up phone calls from Nurse Ivy. Her calming demeanor and professionalism shines through. She was meant for this job! No question I had was dumb and it is obvious that she truly cares for her patients. Ivy will always stand out to me as an amazing passionate nurse. I have already recommended CIGC to several other women who may need female surgeries in their future. Thank you for a great experience!
Dr. Danilyants laparoscopically removed my large fibroid filled uterus after other surgeons told me that they could only perform an open surgery. My largest fibroid was 13 cm. Everyone at CIGC was helpful throughout the entire process! I highly recommend Dr. Danilyants!
For more than 10 years, I struggled with intense and painful menstrual cycles. This led to iron deficiency, anemia and constant fatigue. This negatively impacted me professionally and family life suffered as I was often unable to function properly or at all. Despite visiting many medical professionals, I was always made to feel that this was a natural consequence of aging or dismissed with an explanation that some women just suffer heavier periods and I was one of them. Living with pain and discomfort became normalized for me. Recently, I had to do more extensive lab work. Those tests revealed many varying sized fibroids, a cyst and adenymosis. I did research to find out the best treatment possible as I wanted laparoscopic surgery for a safer surgery and less healing time. The Center for Innovative GYN Center (CIGC) came highly recommended and I travelled internationally for the procedure with them after extensive consultation. With the procedure now complete, I can say that my expectations were far exceeded at CIGC! With their innovative DualPort GYN procedure, healing time, safety and cost were less than with the alternative. From the first contact with the clinic, to a free phone consultation with the doctor I felt immediately at ease with the procedure and the medical personnel involved. Less than a week now, having experienced the CIGC treatment I am blown away! From my first contact with the office where Linda, Jessica and Emily were incredibly responsive and professional, to the associate companies involved with the surgery like Catrina and Dr. Lue from Holy Cross Anesthesiology to Nurses Theresa and Ivy, my incredible doctor, Doctor Danilyants, I felt truly cared for, seen, heard and supported. I was able to leave the clinic by mid-afternoon having had surgery at 8 am that day. Having any major surgery involves a tremendous amount of vulnerability. CIGC created an environment where I was satisfied that my trust in the professionals involved was not misplaced. Even family members who accompanied me at the clinic have remarked about how caring and professional everyone they encountered at CIGC was at every stage of this experience. I am already making strides to resuming my normal life and travel back to my home country. Thank you CIGC for being a part of my wellness journey! Vanessa R Bahamas
