Balance Point Wellness's Online Review Report Card

tl;Dr/updating to add: if balance point has any desire to have any provider let alone the only prescribing doctor available have any level of honesty, professionalism, or god forbid ethics, they can start by updating his bio on their website to let any current and God forbid future patients know that this doctor is legally barred from prescribing controlled substances.this business failed my friend multiple times In ways that could have been detrimental to his life, let alone his wellbeing, let alone your company's reputation to say the very least.my friend is a couple months out of the hospital and just had to go a month cold turkey because his last doctor not affiliated with BP decided to go to Africa for vacation during or right after he got out of the hospital and didn't even bother to answer his texts let alone help him get his prescription not alone provide coverage to say the least. that was the bar that was set for him the first med provider he ever had once he was brave enough to ask for helphis current therapist who has seen him at least a year from balance point and watched this all unfold and did nothing that i know of to help him access meds, gave him his first referral that wasn't the balance point number with no extension when he asked for diagnostic testing which i dont think BP even provides and neither does he.the referral was to Kamau Collins. she knows my friend has been taking and prescribed a  controlled substance for a diagnosis he had been treated for since childhood. and that the purpose of referring him was at least to get another prescription for the following month for his meds so he doesn't have to go without again. according to her, Collins works for BP and is also the only doctor taking new patients and at least gave him the impression that she's either incapable of or not willing to refer him to a doctor not on BP payroll.This doctor got the most and worst reviews of any doctor I've ever seen let alone looked up online. upon further research based on just 3 reviews i quickly found out that he can't even prescribe my friend the meds he needs and has been taking because of sketchy activity that at the least resulted in serious professional sanctions such as the fact he is barred from prescribing controlled substances by Collins.my very first question beyond how he's even allowed to practice let alone poach patients from other institutions let alone take people off their meds due to sanctions, let alone be honest with them about why he can't/won't, is how your business can even justify hiring him while pretending on any level that your patients well being is in any way being considered and how anyone in the helping professions could justify working there and still sleep at night.0/10

The people I work with at Balance Point Wellness are the most supportive and helpful of anyone I have worked with. Because of their leadership, guidance, and support I was able to complete my internship experience with success.If you are in need of help in mental health, you will not find people who care more. You will never be judged, no one will make assumptions, and they will meet you wherever you are in your journey.

Was told when I asked if they would continue my prescription, I was told " c'mon in sir we'll take care of the issue". So I suffered through 5 visits of them just leading me on telling me that if I " be patientl, I'd be all set!" Then, the most dreadful thing I hate, is being tossed around in-house, having to keep repeating my issues, and explaining them over and over! I put that up front. I only wanted to see one person, and I got blindsided and didn't have the same person in less than 30 days. So just being honest it took them 5 visits $250 per hour @ $1,250.00 just to to tell me "We can't ever administer your medication here." I gave them permission and the to contact my doctor and they're tried to get me to try things I already have tried. Getting an appt is the jump through hoops process even with blue cross and slots open. Google takes you to the wrong address and no parking where Google places you. Then you have to call them and get someone to come outside to help you find the place. In worse shape now than b4 I started. Truth.

This is the best mental health clinic in Salisbury, by far!!
