Alpha Allergy & Asthma Associates's Online Review Report Card

The staff is great and caring but wait times are ridiculous. They get you in a room quickly but each time I’ve been I’ve had to wait almost an hour and sometimes longer to be seen by the doctor. I appreciate the thoroughness but the waits are frustrating.

The staff at this facility is extremely kind and professional! I started going here after having an anaphylactic episode. Dr. Erekosima is extremely courteous and professional, her credentials for the work are also impeccable. She was the Associate Clinical Director for John Hopkins Allergy and Immunology division, and is certified in allergy and immunology as well as internal medicine. The entire team gives your complete information and will answer any questions you have.

I saw Dr. Akinyemi for CIU for over a year, and she was extremely helpful. She was very good at listening, answering my questions, and providing me with the help I needed for relief from CIU. Staff was always great as well. Only reason I stopped going was due to a move. I highly recommend them.

I was referred to them by my primary care physician in the same building so for convenience I stopped by. The front desk person was unfriendly and surly. From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out she had an attitude about this and that. I had a mask on and was slightly to the right of the plexiglass barrier and she was all attitudey and her tone said it all, can you stand behind the glass?! The front desk person had me fill out forms but when I went to sit down in the empty waiting area she snapped "not there" and directed me to a room. It was a very creepy office with no patients and staff except her and a tatted staff member, with whom she had a a momentary but unprofessional tiff with in front of me. She said she would call me to schedule an appointment. She didn't. Glad she didn't. I'll go elsewhere to see an allergist.

03/20/2020 I scheduled an appointment with Alpha Allergy Clinic in Silver Spring, Maryland. It was the best decision ever. Dr. Nkiruka Erekosima is tops. She is attentive and spends quality time with patients. I saw several doctors for my condition before making an appointment at Alpha Allergy with Dr. Erekosima. On the first visit, she prescribed two medicines and took me completely off over the counter products. With testing, she identified the irritants impacting my health and immediately removed me from environments where these irritants festered. Almost instantly, I saw positive results. Dr. Erekosima recommends the following expert advice on Coronavirus. Refrain from touching eyes, nose, mouth, and ears in public, and sanitizing is critical. Alpha Allergy Clinic gets five stars!

I have been a patient at Alpha Allergy & Asthma Associates for about 6 months and I have consistently received excellent care at every visit! Dr. Erekosima, Dr. Akinyemi, and nurses Catie, and Yemi are the best! Dr. Erekosima is an outstanding allergist! She is knowledgably, patient, and thorough because she truly cares about her patient’s overall heath and treatment. Catie and Yemi are friendly and professional! I highly recommend Alpha Allergy & Asthma Associates as the best allergy & asthma specialists in the DMV!

Dr. Erekosima is the absolute best allergist I have had in the past 30 plus years. She is thorough and detailed to get the most accurate history in order for her to give the best treatment. She is very good in educating the patient and answering questions I am well cared for under her compassionate expertise as a doctor. The staff is also very caring. If you are searching for an allergist I would highly recommend her.

I am a patient myself, as are my children. Both doctors are amazing! Highly recommend! I've referred other friends and family, and all have had really great experiences with Alpha Allergy.

I previously left a review for this company and they had it deleted. If you leave a review that is not to their liking they will have it removed from google. That to me is insane and is the work of a true scam artist. Because I do not recommend this practice they go above and beyond to have my comment deleted. I highly advise anyone looking for an allergist look elsewhere. Google needs to allow people to leave zero stars.

My family was served by this practice for over three years. My first complaint coincides with some of the others regarding unnecessary billing regarding spirometery testing. During this time I saw many things that sent flags such as staff turnover. The one consistent staff member was not treated well at all. Dr. Erikosema would always try to enforce office visits even though insurance charges were made biweekly through the shot clinic. I really became disillusioned when discrepancies came up over billing (errors by the previous billing company) which after receiving six sets of bills all with different balances. Dr. Erikomsema would not settle though evident all payments had not been applied. My final straw and what led to this review is the fact that after providing notification that my family would no longer utilize services Dr. Erikomsema had the audacity to tell the new provider "they are no longer my patients, you'll have to figure out the dosages necessary for yourself." How would this behavior to another physicians office be considered as professional?
