Dechter & Moy Dentistry's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Moy is one of the nicest guy I've known all my life. He is laid back and very friendly. He graduated from Univ of MD Dental School and now works with Dr. Dechter at his office. (The office is based out of a house on Georgia Ave.) The support staff while not VERY friendly was friendly enough. **Disclaimer** Dr. Moy is an old friend of my family. *^^*

Dr. Moy may well be my favorite dentist of all time - he has cared for my family for years and has been able to undo bad work done by another dentist. Unfortunately the practice doesn't accept the insurance my company offers and I have had to struggle to find a replacement. If I had a choice though.....

I've been a patient of Dr. Moy since 2005. Since then I've seen such a significant change in my teeth. I've had less sensitivity (none now), whiter teeth, and they look and feel great. I love the staff and flexibility of scheduling. I've referred many friends to Dr. Moy and will continue to do so. They've come away very happy with the staff and his services.

Dr. Moy is super. He has been our family dentist for over 10 years. He fixed my cavities did a crown and countless checkups. I have not had a cavity since I met him. He puts me in ease as soon as I sit in the dentist chair. He has this demeanor this calm. The hygienists are great. The front office is very nice, greet you and take care of you when you are leaving. The flexible appointments are perfect. This office is a team effort and it shows. We love Dr. Moy.

So, some would say that I am a bit biased as Dr. Moy and his brother went to my high school, but that could be further from the truth. I am married to an orthodontist that also went to the University of Maryland Dental school (which by the way was the first dental school in the country and has an extremely rigorous program). I have been practiced on by my husband in clinic and have had the opportunity to see many dentists as a result of his connections in the field. I choose to see Dr. Moy in particular. He is honest, kind, laid back, he cares, listens and above all he is excellent at his job. He truly cares about the patient. With Dr. Moy patient health and care are paramount. He explains everything and checks in with you throughout treatment to make sure you are comfortable. Also, not to sound odd, but his injections are virtually painless. He's kind of amazing. If you are looking for someone new and want a doctor/patient relationship that is custom to your personality and needs...Dr. Matthew Moy is hands down the best choice in the Washington DC area. He has the skills and the heart to back it up. You will not be disappointed.

Having been to a lot of dentists because I move so frequently, I have to say Dr. Moy and his team are among the best. He and the hygienists are so personable and keep you well informed about what they are doing every step of the way. Another huge factor for me was how comfortable I was during the cleaning. I didn't leave sore and frustrated. The hygienist was gentle and very knowledgeable. The front desk is awesome with working with insurance to male sure all the work they are doing is covered, and they are very timely and responsive. All around great experience. Highly recommended!

Three generations of our family have been patients of Dr. Dechter. We remain loyal to him, even though we don't live near by, because of the excellent care that we always receive from the entire practice - dentists, hygienists, office staff, etc. I'm continually impressed with Dr. Dechter's deep commitment to continuing education so that he and the practice provide the most current, state of the art, procedures, techniques, equipment and materials. It's the perfect combination of modern, cutting edge dentistry in the comfortable, familiar surroundings of a converted home office.

I found this dentist via my then-boyfriend, now husband. I switched immediately. The friendliness, the staff, the service, the lack of waiting, and the professionalism in care - plus up-to-date technology - have kept me coming back for 15 years now. I tried a lot of dentists before this one, and now I am totally spoiled. I can't imagine why anyone would go elsewhere. Five stars!

Great Dentist and staff. Hidden in the basement of an old house, a modern efficient office. I was impressed that they could evaluate, manufacture and install a new crown for a broken tooth in 2 hours. So in one visit, done. That in itself is a great thing. The staff is extremely friendly and efficient. I have found my new dentist.

People - go here for your dental needs. After getting a root canal from a specialist, I needed a crown. My regular dentist told me that it would take three visits to do it, and she didn't have another appointment for a month. After I saw all these great Yelp reviews, I decided to come here to get the crown. Thank. Goodness. Dr. Moy was gentle, kind, professional, and good at his job, which means a whole to me, because I hate getting shots in my mouth. He took care of that quickly, and I got my crown made in their facility in ONE VISIT. What a relief. He also took some money off of the cost because it was my first time at his office. After my experience, I left my old dentist and will be coming here from now on.
