List of Dr. Neal Adams's Reviews
Sadly, I had a retina tear. On a Saturday. Dr. Adams gave up his afternoon to see me, though I had no history with his office. Many, many laser zaps later and I was good to go. His office runs on time, and one never feels rushed, even just for follow-ups.
He takes his time to explain everything to his patients. He knows what he is doing.
Dr. Adams is an "old-school", compassionate doctor who puts his patient at ease with his calm, reassuring, caring and un-hurried manner. The American practice of medicine would be greatly enhanced if more doctors embraced his practice style and ethics.
A few years ago, I brought an elderly family member to Dr. Adams for a retina evaluation and subsequent surgery. Dr. Adams was fantastic. First, his knowledge and skill seemed unsurpassed. Second, he was among the kindest and most considerate of doctors I have ever encountered. After surgery, we were in the hospital waiting room and doctor after doctor came out, delivering news (good and bad) to patients' families in the waiting room with everyone around. Even though Dr. Adams had only good news to report to us, he still secured a private place to talk so that we could feel comfortable asking questions and clarifying anything as needed. I think he is a really great doctor and am pleased to see that he is back in the area. If I were to need a retina specialist, I would go to him in a second. I had to select a rating for his staff in order to submit this review but I really can't comment on that because he was at a different practice in the DC area when we saw him.
Knows how to explain complex issues to patient; very thorough

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
